Eliza's POV

I woke up to my cat kneeding my shoulder. "Good morning Charlie," I said and scratched his head in between his ears. He purred and snuggled his tiny head between my neck and shoulder.

I looked at my clock and it was passed two in the afternoon, "Ugh," I said and got up from the bed and walked towards the kitchen. I started to cook some breakfast when I got a buzz from my phone. I hurried to the side of my bed where my phone lay.

There was a message from Madeline," Hey, are you still up for tonight?" I pursed my lips and leaned against my bed.

"Sure, what time?" I texted back and brought my phone into the kitchen and continued to make my meal. The phone then buzzed again and I grasped it quickly.

"Around nine or so," she said back.

"Alright, sounds cool," I said back and put my phone away for good until I had something to eat.

I gobbled up my breakfast and went back into my room to get ready to go out for a coffee or something before tonight. I wore skinny jeans and a blue laced shirt with my long brown hair braided to the side. After I thought I was presentable, I swiftly left my flat.

The coffee shop was nearly a couple of blocks away so I decided to walk. So many things raced through my mind as I gathered my thoughts trying to think of one thing to focus on. I noticed some tiny children playing in a park.

They looked so happy as they swang upon the swings jumping and laughing. "Higher mommy!" A little boy said as his mother pushed him a little higher on the swings. I watched how they interacted with eachother in a loving way. I smiled and continued to walk past thinking of how my mom never did that with me. She never was even in my life hardly. It was mostly my older sister who took care of me in grade school.

I worked very hard on my school work even if I was with boys all the time. I could balance it somehow. Just knowing I could end up like my mom, set a goal for me to do better in school and such. But the other stuff had already caught up with me.

I got a scholarship to attend a small university on the outskirts of London which contained the majors of theatre and dance. I did dance which was the love of my life. It alouds me to be free and forget everything that happens behind the curtain.

My thoughts broke as I ran into something large and hard. "Sorry," I said to the man and continued to walk with my shoes clamping on the sidewalk.

I finally made it to the small building on the corner. "One coffee please," I said to the boy who had curly brown hair. He was very attractive and typed my order into the machine.

"I haven't seen you around here," I said casually and he smiled with a dimple on his cheek.

"Yeah, I just started working here about a couple of days ago," he said and handed me my coffee.

"Thank you," I said and grabbed it from him. Our hands touched for a moment and he blushed and turned his face away from my gaze.

"My pleasure," he then said and smiled with his green eyes staring into mine.

I walked away from him and sat at my favorite spot by the window. I glanced back up at him and smiled because he was watching me. He quickly looked away and focused on the next costomer.

I laughed to myself and pulled out my book from my bag that I have been reading for about a year. I couldn't find the time to ever finish it, but I always read it here. My favorite place.

I glanced back up at the boy and he looked away again. When I finished my coffee I got up from the table and a hand clasped around my cup and took it up. "I'll take that out of your way if your finished," the boy said and threw it in a bin.

"Thanks," I said and smiled at him friendly and slung my bag over my shoulder. He backed up so I would have room to stand up.

"So, do you come here often?" He asked and I smiled.

"Yeah almost everyday," I said to him.

"Cool, well I better get back to work. See you later," He said and grinned at me and went back to his station.

I bit my lip and watched him walk back. He had a nice body, I mean damn. I scanned my eyes over his torso until it was hidden behind the desk.

I then looked away and walked outside back to my flat.
