the guys and i were sitting in the dressing room, waiting to perform and put on a show for our fans at 8. i was on the couch, softly playing my guitar along with mikey while ashton and calum were on their phones. it was quiet until i heard the beginning of she looks so perfect being played from calum's phone.

"sorry," he mumbled, quickly turning the volume down on his phone.

"who was singing our song?" michael asked, putting his guitar down next to him.

"uh some girl name laura marano," calum responded, reading the title off of his phone. "it looked like she had a concert and performed she looks so perfect as a cover, i guess."

laura marano? why does that name sound so familiar?

"isn't she the chick off that one disney show?" michael snapping his fingers trying to remember the name of the show, "austin & ally?"

"yeah." ashton said still looking at his phone and we all stared at him until he looked up, "what?" he questioned shrugging his shoulders, "it's a good show."

ashton went back on to his phone while michael and calum were talking about laura, while me? i googled this laura chick to get a better understanding on who she is and once i did, holy shit she's fucking beautiful. she's short but it's adorable and her brown eyes are just beautiful.

fuck. am i developing a crush on this girl that i haven't even met yet?

just then all our phones beeped, indicating that the band account must have been mentioned in a tweet...not that it gets mention already. when i saw who tweeted us, i nearly shit my pants. laura marano fucking tweeted the band account.

'lauramarano: Covered one of my fave 5SOS songs... 5YAS... and I know I've made that joke before 😜😜' and a video clip of her performing she looks so perfect was attached to the tweet & she has the voice of an angel.

i rt'd her tweet and deciding to click her follow button, since she's beautiful and she sings like an angel. apparently, she already followed me... how did i not know about this? oh well, following her now will make up for it.

after i followed her, i decided to send her a dm to tell her what an incredible job she did covering our song.

i sent the dm, locking my phone, and sliding it in my side pocket. one of the crew members came to our dressing room, telling us that it's our time to perform. the guys and i all exited the room, grabbing our instruments, and walking out on to the stage.

for me, a certain brunette was on my mind during the entire performance.

a/n: this is my very first lauruke fic! i'm sorry if it's terrible cause my writing sucks & sometimes my grammar doesn't make sense...oh well. anyways i did ship laura & luke for a little bit, it was during when she was in the vamps' somebody to you music video, and i thought "you know what? i think laura would look cute with the 5sos guys, especially with luke & i'm gonna ship them." although during the time i thought this, there were no manips of lauruke together & i was sad cause i really wanted to see how cute they were...until one day i found a couple lauruke manips on instagram (shoutout to maranoxclifford, lauracliffoconda, & hemrano 😘) and i cried happy tears cause the manips were ((are)) really beautiful. follow them on insta to see how beautiful their edits are, seriously you won't regret it. 💕💕
anyways back to the story, this is based off of when luke finally followed laura on twitter & i'm going to write about it cause i screamed when i saw he followed her & because it was lauruke and i really love lauruke.
