Ice Cold Care

Zane POV

I was suddenly awoken from my slumber by the sound of footsteps coming from the hallway. I looked at the time, it was 2 o'clock in the morning. Quite early for anybody to be up. I decide to investigate, I lightly put my feet onto the cold floor and tiptoed to my closet were I grabbed a jacket and quickly put it on. I slid open the door making sure it doesn't make a sound and skimmed over to the kitche.the front door, it was open a hand on the door knob about to close it. I was about to scan the hand to see who it belonged to, but the humanoid closed the door before I could even start the scan. My feet lightly padded on the floor as I made my way to the door. I reached out to the door and quietly opened it but just a crack. I looked out to see a figure with a blanket over their body and there black hair flowing in the wind, it seemed to be in a trance. I slip my body through the small crack and wondered closer to the human.

As my bare feet hit the snow covered ground, the male started to walk out further into the snowy night. My icy blue eyes scanned over the male. He looked so familiar, then it hit me it was Cole. Right when I figured out who he was, he started to quicken his pace, it would seem as though he was going to make a run for it. I lightly ran over to him my hand resting on his shoulder. He seemed taken aback by my sudden action. He turn wide eyed at me his dark emerald green eyes shining in the moon light. It was quite fascinating. But once I looked passed his eyes I could see he was frightened I gave off a look of concern and asked "Are alright Cole? your heart beat is beating at a abnormal rate" he looked at me blankly then after a second of discomfort he finally spoke "I'm fine Zane..its nothing, you just startled me" I could tell something else was bothering him, but I didnt want to pry so I just nodded and smiled. "Alright then, I apologize for the scare" he only nodded and smiled back. My face felt suddenly warm but I pushed it away "May I ask you a question?" Cole grinned "you just did" I looked at him blankly I mean yes I did just ask him a question but I was thinking more of another question it just maybe he doesn't understand or- "it was a joke Zane" I looked at him and nodded "oh right a joke" he rolled his eyes and chuckled which made my face feel warmer "go ahead ask me" oh right the question "of course, Why are you out here? Its 2:32 in the morning, sleep should be your main priority." I stated. He seemed uncomfortable by my question he sighed "I just had a bad dream that was all" I nodded I have never had a bad dream or a dream at all. His body temperature was decreasing at a fast rate I had to get him inside. I put my arm around his shoulder "come inside your body temperature is decreasing at a extraordinary rate" I said while pulling him inside. All he did was nod and pull the black blacket tighter over his shiverimg form. I guided him inside and sat him down on the floor in the living room. I went and got him some hot coca. I came in to the living room where he was and I saw Cole laying on the ground asleep. I smiled and set down the hot coca and went and got a pillow and put it under his head. I smiled and looked around to see if anybody was around and kissed his forehead. My cheeks flushed a dark red as I smiled and walked out and went back to bed.
