Nashi's P.O.V

I parked the car in the driveway and sighed. I got out the car and knocked on the front door. My father opened it, giving me an angry look. I stepped inside and plastered a smile on my face.

"Nashi dear, are you okay?" Mother asked as she hugged me tight. "Yes. I told you I was at Megan's house." I replied. She pulled away. "Next time come home on time." Father said. I nodded.

"Nashi."

"Y-Yes father?"

"There's weren't any boys are this party, were there?"

"U-Uh... N-No..." I lied. "Good." He sighed as he walked into the kitchen. I went to my room and pulled out a piece of paper. It was one of the boys phone number... I stared at the numbers. I crumbled the paper and threw it away.

Just then I got a phone call.

"Hello?"

"Hello, have you by any chance stayed over last night?"

"Who is this...?"

"Levina. Levina Dreyar."

"O-Oh! Yes I was over last night..."

"Okay, can you please tell Megan to clean up. I know she left a mess and most likely didn't clean it."

"Um... Sure... Bye."

"Good Bye."

I hung up the phone and sighed deeply. I had the choice of lying to her... But Levina always finds out... And I mean always.

Nashi: hey

Megan: yo

Nashi: did u clean up the mess from last nite?

Megan: y do u seem concerned?

Nashi: did u or did you not?!

Megan: I cleaned the damn house... Happy?

Nashi: okay...

I put down my phone and threw myself on my bed. "Nashi dear, time for dinner." called Mother.

(Still Nashi pov)

"I'm going over to Megan's house to... Study..." I said as I grabbed my coat. "Now? It's getting dark and it's a little cold out." said Father. I nodded. "Be back before nine." said Mother.

I slipped on the flats and walked a block or two to Megan's. There was a silver car parked in the driveway. Which meant that... You know who was home.

I knocked on the door, and Megan answered. "Hey! What are you doing here so late?" She asked. " 'Study' " I replied. We both laughed a little and walked inside. "Megan, did you invite a friend over?" asked Levina, Megan's older sister. Megan did an unsure nod.

"Hi..." I said shyly. Levina had a small smile. Her dirty blonde hair had a lightning bolt shape and was in a high ponytail. We went into Megan's room. "So why did you really come over here? Did Mr. and Mrs. stingy find out?" asked Megan. "No... I told them that I came here to study and... I'm here!" I said smiling.

"Listen, they boys said they'll be in the parking lot by that bakery... We have 30 minutes to meet up with them." Megan said. I looked at her quite confused. "What's the matter? You look troubled." "Levina... Aren't you afraid of your sister?" I asked. Megan shook her head. "Not one bit. She's not even that powerful. I've got the magic in the family, you see. Levina may act like a badass but she ain't."

We left through Megan's window. "I made sure to lock the door so little miss thang wouldn't know." She smiled. We got into her car and drove off. "So what about your parents? Do they not care about where you are or what you could be doing?" I asked. I'm very concerned about how Megan was raised...

"Nashi, what you need to do is calm down. We're here anyway." She said. The boys were by a parked car. "Megan... Out of all the times we've done this I actually want to go home." I said. She grabbed my arm and mouthed come on to me. We walked over to the boys who had beer and cigarettes.

As Megan let go of my hand one of them offered me a drink. "Oh, I don't-" "We've got company!" One of them screamed and took off. I turned around and bright headlights were behind our car. I'm sure we all know who to expect. "I freaking knew it! Now we're in huge trouble!" I screamed to Megan who stood there in silence.

Levina walked towards us. "You girls got some explaining to do." She said, crossing her arms. "Don't look at me! As unbelievable as it sounds, this was actually Nashi's idea! Don't blame me!" Megan wailed. "WHAT!" I yelled. Levina looked at me with that look that made me shiver.

"I've already called your parents, Nashi. They're on their way." Levina said. Megan ran back to her car, leaving  me standing alone. How could she blame me for doing such things? It was her idea! Dad's gonna be real pissed...

Mom and Dad came a few minutes later. "Nashi sweetie, are you alright-" Mom was interrupted. "Nashi, you said you were out to study. I knew that Megan girl was a terrible influence on you. As mean as it may sound, you're grounded for a month." Dad yelled. A month?! "You can't ground me for a month! She forced me to do it!" I cried. At this point I knew I was just fueling up his anger, but it's not entirely my fault.

"Want to make it two?!"

"No..."

I glanced over at mother who stood there in silence. She never took sides in arguments like these. She'd never talk... Just stand there. I got into the car. Once we got home we had a long talk... Father and I, that is. He doesn't want me hanging out with Megan anymore.

I walked into class and let's say things didn't go so well for me. "Hey Nashi. Do you mind lending me your homework? I forgot to do it and I'm not in the mood for a detention." Megan asked. I stood there, staring at her. "Nash?" "No. Either you have it done or you don't." I walked past her and took my seat.

After class Megan decided to be a bitch and mess with me. Well... You picked the wrong day. "So Nashi, why'd you ignore me earlier? I just needed to write down a couple of things I missed-" "No, what you wanted was a paper you know that wouldn't have any mistakes so you can copy it. I know your game, Megan Dreyar. So don't go and try to fool me. I'm not a dumbass like you think I am."

Sometimes I wonder why I even hang out with such a brat.
