Chapter nine~Sorry?

(Nashi's P.O.V)

I sat upright on my bed, staring at the wall. How do I do it? How can I say sorry if I nearly killed her?! I feel like such a fool... Why would I do that? Maybe it was all that hatred. I grabbed my phone. It was 2 in the morning and I still haven't slept...

I held my phone in my hand and sighed. I tried to lay down and sleep, but I just couldn't.

I grabbed a pen and a paper... If I can't tell her face-to-face, I might as well do this...

I woke up thirty minutes early and left the house. Before heading to class, I left a note in Crystal's locker. I went to mine to grab my history books, and a small paper fell out. I looked around then picked it up.

Dear Nashi,

Look, I'm sorry for being such a prick to you. I won't be bothering you anymore... I mean it. I don't want to get in your path again... I'm sorry.

It's good that she's apologizing... But now I feel as if she's afraid of me... Which makes shit a whole lot worse... I saw her walking down the hall with her group of friends. I tried to hide my face behind the locker door, but I guess they noticed me. I pretended to look for something.

"Hey Nashi..." I heard Crystal say. Her voice was more quieter, and had a softer tone. I closed my locker door and turned around. I guess she could tell I've been up all night because she asked if I had gotten enough sleep. "Crystal... I-I'm-" "I forgive you... Though it should be me apologizing. I was messing around with you and being a bitch to you. If I hadn't done that none of this would've happened." She said smiling.

It wasn't an evil smile or a smirk, but an actual smile out of kindness. "Well... I forgive you too..." I said. Then there was Megan, who was standing near her. I looked at her, but she was avoiding making eye contact with me. "Megan..." I began. "I forgive you too." She hugged me.

"Let's go guys... We might be late to class."

At lunch Crystal came up to me. "Hey, I got your note." She said as she sat next to me. "Yeah... I'm really sorry." I said, looking at my food. "Would you like to sit with us?" Crystal asked. I instantly lifted my head. A chance for me to finally be with the populars... "Okay.." I said.

Their table is always crowded. "Guys, I believe we already know Nashi. The smart one in the class." Crystal said to everyone at the table. I heard a few murmurs but then everyone welcomed me. I had already finished my lunch, so I just sat there. They were talking about... Well... Their usual gossip.

But for some reason, when I'd look over at Megan, she'd look up at the exact same time.

After school, Megan came up to me. "Listen, I know what I did when we snuck out was wrong. And we shouldn't have been out in the first place... Like you said. Ever since then I've been becoming more close with Crystal and stuff I started to bully you... And I'm sorry. We used to be best friends and...- " "Used to?" I said smiling. Megan looked at me and smiled. "I knew you'd understand." She said.

We walked home together, talking about our day and how much we hate sitting through history. "Text you later?" Megan asked. "Text you later."
