Chapter ten~Siblings?

(Nashi's P.O.V)

It was late at night and dad burst through my door. "Nashi, grab a sweater and shoes." He said. "Why what's wrong?" I questioned as I sprang out of bed. "We're going to the hospital."

WHAT.

In the car I could hear mom screaming and dad trying to comfort her. But the only thing I could focus on was getting sleep. Was she hurt? Or was she really sick?

We arrived at the hospital and I was told to wait in the waiting room while mom and dad were taken to some room. I managed to take a short nap. "Nashi wake up..." Someone whispered. I opened my eyes and father was motioning for me to follow him. I kept bumping into things and walking like a drunk person... I guess I was that tired...

We entered a room, and mother was laying on the bed. Doctors and nurses were scrambling about. I walked closer and saw the most shocking thing.
Mother was holding a baby... So... I'm not the only child anymore... "What are you going to name her?" I heard the doctor ask. Mother smiled. "Luna." Mother and Father said.

On the way home, I tried imagining what it'd be like with a sister.

"So, you have a baby sister now?"

"Yeah..."

"What's her name?"

"Luna."

"That's cute."

Megan and I were talking while heading to class. We made up after what happened... After my mistake... Megan has really changed, though. She I just don't know how to describe it... But she's changed alright.

After class, I walked home. Mother and Father want me to get used to being around the new baby, so I have to watch her for the day. I literally wanted to say, 'Do you have any freaking idea what you're doing? You're basically putting her life in jeopardy'. There's one thing that everyone knows about me, I forget.

I might set her down somewhere then walk off, instantly forgetting I had to watch her... What if she gets hold of a knife? I was starting to worry myself... I was never good around children.

I opened the door, and Luna and Mother were sitting on the couch watching TV. "Hey mom." I said as I tossed my bag next to the coffee table. "Hi honey, Luna and I just came back from the market. I bought you some snacks." "Thanks mom."

I sat next to Luna. Her brown eyes, blonde hair, she basically took most of mom's traits. The only thing she has from dad was... His loudness. Boy, could they scream. Luna crawled onto my lap. "Ashi! Ashi!" She giggled. I smiled.

Maybe this whole sibling issue isn't gonna be all that bad...

The next chapter should be a bit longer. (Didn't I say that about this chapter in the last one?)
