The moment you walked on the plane you could tell that everyone was just waiting for an explanation. You looked at each of their faces, trying to come up with something to say, but you noticed that Hotch looked concerned for you. Suddenly, he stood up and started talking for you. "Okay, team, this is Y/N L/N. She's taking Prentiss' spot. You have no need to worry, I've done all my homework and she may even be a bit too good for us." as he said this, he looked at you, flashing one of his rare smiles. "Also she basically has all the same degrees and story as are if. And I think that says enough." Before he sat down, he patted you on the shoulder, and a shock ran down your arm. "Thanks Hotch. And basically, yeah what he said." You smiled, as the team laughed. As you scanned the seats, you noticed Reid motioning for you to sit in the empty seat next to him. You made your way there, smiling at each of your new colleagues, hoping you had come off as friendly.
