Avery's POV

I ran down the road, hearing the dirt crumble beneath my feet. I ducked under low hanging branches and stretched my stride over small puddles in my path. There was a right turn up ahead and that would bring me out to town where I would meet my friend, Harmony. We had planned on getting coffee together before we went home to get ready for the beach.

The cool morning air blew into my face as the wind picked up. My light blonde-brown hair was pulled into a tight pony tail and I wore a blue headband that matched my Nike sneakers. I repositioned my headphones that were falling out of my ears. Remember the Name by Fort Minor blasted through them and into my head. I took in a deep breath through my nose of the fresh air. There had recently been a storm the night before and the rain smell was still in the air.

As I was about to take a right, continuing on the dirt road, a man wearing a bright neon yellow vest held his hands up and waved them around, telling me to stop. I pulled the ear buds out as I came to a stop. "What's going on?" I asked.

He walked closer to me and pointed down the road as he spoke. "There was a fallen tree a little farther down the road. It is all across the road and there are power lines down everywhere. It isn't safe for you to run down there."

As he finished he gave me a half sympathetic, sorry, look and then turned around to walk the other way. I put my headphones back in and ran the other way. Instead of taking the right, I would have to take the left. I stepped onto the paved road and found my way to a sidewalk. I passed a few people running in the opposite direction and some who were running the same way as me. I was running at a good speed and it was faster than most would run while going for a "jog."

When I was training and getting in shape for the soccer season, it wasn't joke. I was serious. I did everything I could to stay fit. I ate healthy foods and barely ate any ice cream. Only on special occasions. I ran every single day and every other day I did a larger workout that consisted of core, strengthening, and yoga at the end. Most of those days Harmony joined me. I was always a bit more intense than her, but I was training for something. She was doing it to stay in shape. It always amazed me that she came to workout with me, because most people wouldn't be that committed just to stay in shape.

When I got closer to town the "city" noises started to break through. I started to hear car engines and even horns occasionally. There was construction everywhere in town lately and that's all you ever seemed to hear when you were around. There was more conversation around and I started to see more people. I saw some people that I knew. They would wave at me and I would give them a smile, but I was too focused and tired to do much more.

As I neared the coffee shop I was rounding a corner and I hit a hard chest. It knocked me to the ground and I fell on my butt. I scrunched my eyes as I could feel my tail bone bruising. As I opened my eyes I looked up towards the bright sun to see who I had run into.

When my vision focused I saw a tall blonde standing in front of me with three other guys behind him. They were all holding him up. He looked around, then looked down at me. His dark eyes stared at mine then his jaw dropped.

"I'm sorry," he said as he reached his hand down towards me. I took it in mine and he helped me up.

I brushed off my butt and took my headphones out. "No, it's my fault. I wasn't watching where I was going. Sorry," I said and smiled at them shyly.

I backed up and pulled my phone out of my pocket as I turned off my music. When I looked back up at them they were all staring at me with confused looks on their faces. "What?" I asked with wide eyes.

"N-nothing," said the one that I ran into. He looked at the other guys and then back at me. "Do you know who we are?"

I thought. They didn't look very familiar. I mean maybe I had seen then somewhere. Maybe around town.

The guy I ran into had short blonde hair that was hiding underneath a black SnapBack. His dark eyes stared at me. His nose came out a to a point. It was cute. He was tall. The tallest of the four.

The guy that was directly behind him had short blonde hair as well. His eyes were a dark blue and he wore a beanie.

The guy to his left had shaggy dirty blonde hair and green eyes. His facial features were very defined. The bridge of his nose came out and the top was flat.

The fourth guy that stood to the right of the first one, looked different than the other three. His skin was a tanner shade and his hair was dark. The top near the front if his hair was dyed red. It suited him.

"No," I said finally answering their question after getting more strange looks from them. "Should I?" I asked.

They all shook their heads. "No," they said in unison.

The one I ran into stuck his hand out in front of him. "I'm Mason."

"I'm Avery," I said shaking his hand.

He pointed to the other guys as he introduced them. "This is Noah," he said pointing to the guy with the shaggy hair, "and Liam," he said pointing to the guy behind him, "and Onix," he said pointing to the guy with darker hair.

I nodded and smiled at them. They smiled back. "Well it was nice to meet you guys, but I'm meeting someone in a few minutes." They nodded and waved to me as I crossed the street.

That was weird. I walked towards the coffee shop and through the window I could see Harmony sitting at our usual spot.

I opened the doors and walked towards her. I took the seat across from her and took a sip of the coffee she already got me.

I sighed as I set it back down on the table. "Good morning to you too," Harmony said.

"I'm sorry. I'm just so tired. I didn't get a lot of sleep last night and that run really tired me out." Harmony pushed her hair behind her ears before she dipped her coffee. "And the weirdest thing just happened. When I was coming around the corner across the street, I ran into these four guys. I apologized and then they were like do you know us?" She gave me a weird look. "They were cute, but it was weird. Should I have known them?"

Harmony shrugged. "What did they look like?"

"Three of them had blondish hair. The fourth had brown hair. They all seemed to have accents. Not very thick, but a little bit. Their names were Mason, Liam, Noah, and Onix I think." Harmony's eyes almost popped out of her head. "What?"

She covered her mouth as she squealed. "Oh my god!"she said while waving her hands around wildly.

"What?" I said worriedly. "Who are they?"

"They're LMNO. They're originally from Sweden but their parents moved here when they were young. They all grew up together and they're practically brothers. They're singers and dancers. They're incredible. They're my latest obsession." She squealed once more.

I rolled my eyes. "They're actually famous?" I said questioningly.

She nodded with a huge grin. "And they're performing by the peer tonight. We should go."

I rolled my eyes. I was never a huge fan girl when it came to bands. "Please?" Harmony begged with puppy dog eyes from behind her glasses.

"Fine," I groaned. She picked up the notebook she had in front of her and her coffee.

"Let's go. We should get ready and you can take a nap, since clearly you are very crabby today," she said as she walked out of the shop.

I kicked her in the butt as we walked towards her car and she laughed at me. This is why we are best friends. She buys me coffee, then she's allowed to make fun of me.
