Chapter 2

Avery's POV

I flopped down on Harmony's bed and shoved my face into her pillow. I groaned at the thought of going to the pier to hear that stupid boy band play. I mean what kind of name is LMNO anyway?

I heard Harmony shuffling through the things in her closet. She was taking things off of their hangers and holding them up to herself to see them in the mirror Harmony had thousands of clothes in her closet. She basically had her own shopping mall in her house. He parents were always away so they gave her money and presents a lot to try to make up for it. Harmony would never admit it, but I could tell it bothered her.

I sat up and looked towards her as she decided on an outfit. Fashion was Harmony's thing, not mine. "What should I wear?" I asked.

"Well, who are you trying to impress?" I laughed at her. Classic Harmony, I thought. She always looked to impress people. She liked to keep them on their toes.

"No one. I'm not thinking about guys right now." I stood up and walked towards her closet as I looked through her things. Harmony and I shared everything with each other. She was the closest thing I had to a sister.

"You should look cute, but not like you're trying too hard. There might be some cute guys there," she said with a wink.

I rolled my eyes and looked through the last of her shirts. I found a black and white striped shirt and pulled it out. "What about this?" I asked.

Harmony looked it over and thought to herself. "That'll work with these jeans," she said pulling out a pair of light wash jeans. She smiled and I smiled back.

I got changed as Harmony picked out her outfit. She decided on a plain white shirt with light blue jeans as well.

When we were done she grabbed her keys off of her nightstand and we went don the stairs and out to her white Toyota Rush. Her parents got it for her sixteenth birthday and it's been her baby ever since. We pulled out of her driveway and down the road to the pier.

After about 20 minutes we got there. We didn't live far from the beach so it was s place most people hung out at in this town.

We got out of the car after Harmony parked on the side of the road and we walked down to the pier. You could already hear LMNO playing from down the beach. Although they were quite loud, the fan girls screaming were even louder, including Harmony. We weren't even near them yet and she was already cheering.

She grabbed my hand and started dragging me towards them. "Come on, we're missing it!" she yelled.

We ran down the boardwalk, past all of the carnival games that were set up, and bumping into people. We got to the big crowd and Harmony used her magic, aka her elbows, and got us to the front. LMNO was standing on a raised platform. The four of them were dancing around and singing their songs to the crowd.

They were good dancers, I would give them that. Watching them dancing around made me want to dance as well. Too bad I had too much pride and would never admit it.

I had heard their songs many times before considering it was all Harmony ever played. I knew most of the lyrics. Harmony screamed next to me and started singing along. "If I could build a girl, I'd build her just like you!" she yelled throwing her hands up ink the air.

Harmony was a really incredible singer. She adored music and would sing any song that was on, even if she didn't know the words, she made up her own.

The guys came to the front of the platform and pointed at the two of us. "It's just the way you are, the little things you do, that make me wanna, build a, girl like you," they sang. Harmony sang along with them, but I stopped when they got close. The guy that I ran into was staring right at me and so was one of the other guys. The taller blond guy was staring at Harmony. She was completely frozen where she was. It was Noah, the one she was completely in love with.

Harmony screamed and reached for Noah's hand. "Oh my god, I love you Noah!" she yelled.

A smile spread across Noah's face and they continued to sing. They walked around the stage and danced and sang five more of their songs. All while they were singing, I felt like the guy in the back was watching me. His name was Liam. He seemed like the quieter one of the four.

When they had finished their set, they stepped off the stage and their two large body guards stood in between the girls and them. "Can we go now?" I asked Harmony pulling on her arm. After Liam had kept staring at me, it started to make me feel uncomfortable.

Harmony nodded as she got one last look at the guys, then we started to walk away. "So what'd you think?" Harmony asked.

"They weren't bad," I said.

"That's it?" Harmony asked laughing.

We both started to laugh, then we heard someone down the pier calling to us. "Hey, wait!" they yelled.

Harmony and I turned around and saw the four guys from LMNO running towards us. Harmony squeezed my had and I froze.

The guys came to a stop in front of us. "Are you the girl from this morning?" asked Mason, the one I ran into.

I nodded. "Uh, yeah."

The guys looked at each other and smiled. "That's what we thought," said Onix, the one with the darker hair. "Why are you leaving so soon?"

I looked at Harmony who couldn't take her eyes off Noah. He was also staring at her in return.

"Uh," I said looking back at the three other guy who were looking back at me.

"Yeah, Avery, why are we leaving so soon?" Harmony asked with a smile.

I rolled my eyes. "I have somewhere to be tomorrow morning," I said. The guys looked at each other sadly. "Sorry, we have to go." I grabbed Harmony's hand and pulled her away from the guys.

"Wait," said Mason. I turned to face him. "Come back tomorrow. We are playing again," he said with a smile.

"I'll think about it," I said and grabbed Harmony's arm as we walked away.

The picture above are the girls' outfits. The one on the left is Avery's and the one on the right is Harmony's.
