(Rebecca's POV)

I looked over at the young girl beside me. She just kept talking and talking. I don't think that she even realized that she was talking at all.

I think that she was scared out of her mind and couldn't shut up. But it was getting irritating. "Amy, do you mind if I call you Amy, you are babbling and it's getting very irritating." She snapped up her jaw quickly.

"I'm sorry. It's just, I'm used to someone talking to me to keep me calm. I hope I didn't annoy you too much,"Amy explained sadly. I looked forward again and kept my gaze forward. After a few moments of silence, she started humming. My ears twitched as they recognized the familiar tune.

"Where did you hear that tune?" I asked.

She looked at the ground, sadly, and murmured quietly,"My mom." I looked down at the ground as well. We had stopped moving and just stood there for awhile. "Amy,"I cleared my throat,"I-I'm sorry. You know, I've heard that song too.  But it was my dad who used to sing that to me." We stood there for several minutes in awkward silence when we heard rustling from a nearby bush.

I jumped back into a defensive stance, wishing I had my chaos rings. I looked towards Amy and was surprised to see her holding a giant pink hammer. I must've looked confused because she smirked and hoisted it behind her.

We looked back towards the bush and braced ourselves for something to come out. A huge burst from the bush, which made us both flinch back a little, and out flopped on the ground. One seemed to be a completely black hedgehog and the other one looked to be a white wolf with silver stripes.

Amy and I looked at each other and burst out laughing. Their heads snapped up at our laughter. Their faces turned from angry to amused. The one that looked like a wolf stood up, brushed dirt off his fur and held out his hand. "I'm Damien the Wolf. That's Ryder the Hedgehog. And who may I ask are you two lovely ladies?"

"I'm Rebecca the Hedgehog and that's Amy Rose the Hedgehog. Do you know where we are at?"

"Nope."

I sighed and ran my hands through my quills. "Well, what do we do now?"

"How about we all wander together and try and find a way out of this place."

"Good plan." And with that they set off again.
