(Cody's POV)

"WHERE IS SHE??"

The thought and question rang in my head for what seemed like forever. Just standing there staring at her empty bedroom.

Deciding I was finished of wondering and determined to know cause that's just the kind of guy I am, I left to go find out.

Wait.. I don't know any of her friends.. How am I suppose to know where she went? Her dad?? He's well I don't know. Maybe people in the town know. Seems like a pretty close knot kind of town.

After about 45 minuets of asking strangers in the local frozen yogurt place, down by the beach, and the library I was about to give up when I began to get hungry. Walking to get a slice of pizza a saw a girl. She was tall with light brown curly hair and fairly tan skin. Just hearing her voice I could make out the words "Sadie and moved".

" Hey excuse me I'm sorry to interrupt but whom may you be talking about, right now?" I asked the girl.

Looking down she turned her head up and her eyes widened.

"Oh my Gosh, you're ah.. Cody Simpson" she answered.

Smiling I looked into the sun.

"Oh.. um.. right.. My friend Sadie Anderson, you know her?"

"Yeah actually..". Looking down I furrowed my eyebrows.

"Did she move, cause I can't seem to find her at her at her home" I asked.

"Yeah actually just a few days ago".

"Do you happen to know where exactly"? I asked hopeful.

"At ah.. 143 magnolia ave. I am pretty sure".

Smiling I thanked her and went on my way. Only problem was I had no idea where that was. Being determined I ran blocks just to find her. Also having a map on my phone it wasn't too hard.

(Sadie's POV)

"Come finish helping me unpack, Sadie" my mom yelled from the new kitchen down the stairs. Sighing I stopped whatever I was doing in my new room and helped her. We would have had friends and family to help us move but they were all on vacation for the last few weeks of summer. Only my mom's two friends were helping us plus the movers as well.

"Hi um.. Mrs. Anderson.. Is Sadie here by any chance"? I heard a deep voice running out of breath say. Coming over to get a box, I hid behind a beam making sure whoever it was didn't see me.

Who was it?

Not my dad

Not Devin

Not Zayn

That means it's

CODY?

Didn't he leave by now?

Why was he here?

How does he know where I moved?

I think I made it clear the I didn't want to see him.

"Yeah, hold on let me get her" my mom replied dropping the box she was holding and coming around the corner to bump into me.

"Oh Sadie there you are, Cody's here to see you".

Shit. I mentally cursed.

Faking a smile I came around the corner.

"Can we talk"? He asked scratching the back of his head nervously.

I heaved a sigh and nodded noting for him to come in.

Stepping in the house he followed behind me being way taller, I could sense his presence.

Making in to my room , Cody followed slowly closing the door.

Refusing to look at him I crossed my arms over my chest.

Silence filled the room.

"Sadie, I didn't mean what I said".

Staring at anything but him I turned my face towards the wall earning a sigh from him.

"Look, I guess I was just annoyed about all, .. the past exes showing up".

"You didn't defend me" I simply said. I did 't over analyze that part until now. I mean we're not dating or together or anything but being a friend you would expect him to at least say something. Instead he called me a whore.

"I should have, I know that".

"Instead of doing what you know , you went and called me a tramp" I stated now looking at him.

"Sadie "Cody said with a pleading look on his face as he inched towards me.

"Look, you don't have to talk to me, I guess I deserve that, but my time here is short and you know that".

Finally deciding to look at him, I noticed just how close he really was.

How his perfect eyes showed his plea for forgiveness, I know cheesy but true.

" Listen, Sadie, we have been having a blast, and I want to keep doing those things until I leave, our bucket list remember"?

Not getting a response or even a reaction from me, he sigh and walked out. Before leaving my room, he stopped at the door.

"You might regret this, I'm not going to be here forever" he said immediately looking down at the floor and turning around in the hallway to leave.

What am I doing?

Stupid girl.

He's getting away

Don't let him leave.

Coming to my senses, I ran out of my room catching Cody leaving through my front door.

"Cody come back" I yelled.

Looking back he waited for me to speak.

"Let's get back to that bucket list" smiling slightly.
