I slashed through the whipping wind toward the edge of our territory. I loved to get a breeze going down my mane. I glance over my shoulder and see the wall being built rock by rock. My mane shivers. I loved looking at the beauty of the lava fall with sparkling rocks that nobody except the fire ponies could retrieve. I huffed. Those ponies didn't ask. I felt a spark of light in my gut. I remember watching all the fire ponies gather in front of the sacred spot and fly through with an eager flutter to their wings. I had wished so bad to become a lava pony. Or at least have wings. The recent Lava Queens crown was made purely of lava and shimmery lava rocks of two colors. Black and red. She wore it proud until hunters captured her. The thought sent shivers down my spine. I started home.
"Come to bed you've been out all day." My underground home was cozy and warm. I began to yawn and I lay by my mothers side and fall asleep.
