They had finally reached the foreign land.

Italy.

A country Taehyung had only ever seen on television and in the news. He had heard people talk about its beautiful architecture, the old streets, the breathtaking scenery, and the blue waters surrounding its coast, but he had never once imagined that he would actually come here someday.

Not like this, anyway.

For a moment, Taehyung completely forgot everything.

He forgot that he hadn't come here by his own choice. He forgot that he was far away from his hyungs and the life he had always known. Even the presence of the man sitting beside him seemed to fade into the background as his eyes remained fixed on the scenery passing outside the car window.

Everything looked so different.

The old European buildings stood proudly along the streets, their warm-colored walls glowing beneath the afternoon sunlight. The narrow roads, the little cafés, the distant hills and the unfamiliar signs all looked like something out of a movie.

Taehyung's eyes wandered from one thing to another, his face slowly brightening with genuine wonder.

Jungkook noticed it immediately.

He couldn't help the small smile that appeared on his face.

It had been a while since he had seen his doll look like this.

Not frightened.

Not angry.

Not looking at him with suspicion.

Just... happy.

Even if it was only because of the scenery around him, Jungkook was delighted that he had managed to give him that moment.

He quietly watched Taehyung as the latter continued staring outside the window, completely fascinated by the unfamiliar world.

Perhaps this trip wasn't such a bad idea after all.

Eventually, the car slowed down near the entrance of a large estate.

An elderly man was already waiting for them. The moment Jungkook stepped out of the car, the old man approached him and gave a respectful bow.

[ A/N: the bold means they talking in Italian idk the language and it's fictional so don't mind it ]

"Good morning, young master. I hope you had a safe flight. I came here to pick you up. Your grandfather has been waiting eagerly for your arrival."

Taehyung couldn't understand a single word.

He looked between the two men, slightly confused, but he could at least understand the respectful manner in which the old man spoke to Jungkook.

Jungkook, however, seemed more amused than pleased.

"I told you to call me son. Why do you keep calling me young master? You really don't listen to me, do you?"

Before the old man could answer, Jungkook pulled him into a tight hug.

The elderly man immediately laughed and hugged him back.

Taehyung stared at them.

He had never seen Jungkook like this.

There was no intimidating mafia boss in front of him at that moment. No cold expression, no commanding voice, no dangerous aura.

He simply looked like someone's grandson.

Taehyung didn't understand what they were saying, but he didn't need to.
