ADHUVA'S POV

I woke up to see her still buried in my arms her hands holding my torso tightly as if i will vanish somewhere. And that little action made my heart clench in raw emotion, she is too innocent for my world but still she will live with me here, protected under me.

"wake up baby, we have to go now.." I gently patted her cheek to wake her, it was currently 9am and we have to reach India by evening and for that we should be in plane by 10 or 11 am. 

"but we had two days more to our vacation" she whispered nuzzling in my chest.

"sorry babe, something urgent came at work so we need to go today, we will come again someday ...let's just get ready now hmm?" I watched her look up rubbing her sleepy eyes, a cute pout resting on her lips making me peck it gently.

I felt bad making her leave this place early when she really wanted to explore it now, but i will bring her here some other day for sure, if it wasn't about that incident at warehouse I would've extended our stay here to a month if she wanted, but now even if i want to i can't do it work call is urgent. 

"get ready hmm? i will make something light for us to eat and pack our bags" i caressed her hair watching her nod and sleepily walk in washroom, taking the blanket with her.

Getting up I quickly packed our bags first, not caring about folding or organizing just piling them in suitcase and closing it, and it was done in half an hour.

Walking downstairs I made both of us a light fruit salad, watching her walk downstairs dressed in a light, off-white midi, looking too pure for this world. for me. 

"here eat" I kissed her forehead making sure she eats before eating with her, after breakfast was done I quickly got ready taking a shower and putting on my suit.

"no need, you look beautiful" I said looking at her through mirror as she reached for her suitcase to change back into something ethnic for home. 

"no one can dare say something to my wife" I said proudly cupping her cheek watching her smile a little weakly, she was quiet this morning.

"something happened love?" I gently pulled her in my arms her back pressed to my chest as I looked at her through mirror. 

"Can't we go tomorrow adhuva? i dont have nice feeling about going today" Her words made me sigh in defeat as i shook my head.

"sorry,,my love, but i urgently need to go ...something really urgent came up at work and it needs my attention. I swear if it wasnt importa--" she cut me off with a nod a soft small smile on her lips i can tell was forceful but i didn't said anything. 

"shall we?" i grabbed her hand as we left the villa the driver putting our luggage in the car while we both sat inside. I silently checked my gun making sure she dont notice.

I watched her look out of window, her hand loosely gripping mine.

The ride was peaceful and silent as I looked out, my eyes fell on two cars behind ours. 

"driver take right" it also did.

"take left" it did same. 

"what happened adhuva?"

"listen Bhumika..when I tell you to duck down you do okay? and please no questions right now?" I cupped her cheeks giving her a kiss on lips before pulling out my gun locking it. 

"ADH- please bhumika, not now" I cut her shocked whisper.

"Duck now! " I yelled as I shot out at one of the tires of car behind ours watching it miss making me curse out and again try, but it was too late gunshots started and in moment our car was surrounded by cars from all side.
