She gripped the invisible fat between her fingers, sighed and got out of the shower.

She knew she shouldn't, but she had to.

The girl found her blade and carefully inserted it in her scarred wrist, twisting it deeper.

Her wolf howled in agony, but she pushed it away like every other time.

She finished, but didn't bother bandaging the wound because it was already healing. The scar would stay though.

She looked at herself in the mirror and was disgusted with what she saw.

Wavy un-tamable brown hair reached the bottom of her very prominant rib cage.

Blue-green fiery eyes were framed by long black lashes that could touch her high cheek bones.

In the middle of her sunken in cheeks were full pink lips and a small nose.

She hated her stomach and her thighs, they jiggled and her leg's non-existent fat touched at the top.

The imperfections were only visible to Rebel.

**Rebel POV**

I sensed a presence beside me even before I woke up.

I felt him playing with my plain hair, gently twirling it in his fingers.

"Rebel, I know your awake," He whispered, his minty breath hot on my neck.

I shook my head and put my fingers in my ears.

It was school, and everyone hated me so there really was no point in going.

"Maybe today you will meet your mate," Reese teased, knowing that would make me mad.

It did, and before I knew what was happening my brother was pinned beneath me, struggling against my hold.

"Just because your the future alpha does not mean you can be mean to me," Reese pouted and I let go.

I stuck out my tongue, making my twin laugh.

At school I ignored everyone and their rude comments. Of course the pack was there, but there wasn't much they could do with out getting shit from Alark, the pack leader. Better known to me as my dad.

I didn't want to be the Alpha. But, being older than Reese by two minutes, I had to be.

Plus, Reese's mate was a human, and he can't tell her about himself, so he thought it would be better anyway because he was already keeping so much secrets from her.

He liked to tease me about not having a mate, but I knew I would soon. It was a month until my eighteenth birthday, the deadline to find a mate.

I wanted someone who would love me for me, and help me with my insecurities. My mate will love me, because well, I was their mate as well.

I just wanted a mate who was nice. Martha, a mousy little red head in the pack got mated with Patrick, a real jerk. I mean, he was all lovey to her and everything, but to us he would be a complete head case.

We never said anything to Martha because we loved her and took care of her, like everyone else, and she had been so happy since she found him. We couldn't ruin it for her, because I knew I would be mad if it was me and the pack I trusted told me my boyfriend was an ass.

School flies by, for once, and I am only bothered a couple times by Shayla and her friends.

She is the most popular, pretty, rich, and stuck up bitch in the school. It's almost like Mean Girls, she even has two sidekicks, dumb and dumber.

Her normal outfits consist of the tiniest pink skirt, Channel tank top, and a pink leather jacket. Then, she tops it off with strappy heels and a dog in her purse.

I'm serious. She has this tiny little Pomeranian named Coco or something. I feel sorry for the poor thing, it has to live with Shayla. And of course, the teachers don't care on account of her dad sending in big donations to help build the new swimming pool.

Then finally, school was over. I got a ride home with Nick, a large boy in the pack who drives a large truck.

I settle into the supple leather seats and switch off the radio, enjoying the silence.

"So um, you forgot to turn your block off yesterday," Nick mumbles, and I almost couldn't hear him.

My heart starts pounding in my chest, and I automatically block the others in my head linked to me by the pack.

"Shit." I think sending the thoughts to only Nick, trying not to panic." What did you hear?" I am almost scared to ask.

"Oh. Just, you know. The whole thing. Everyone else did to," He flushes, not looking at me.

"But, we promised to pretend we didn't hear anything, I swear," He quickly adds. Good, it means that Andrew, the right hand, won't report what happened to my father.

I nod my head in thanks. Everyone talks normally to me, while I only send mind link. I would talk, if I could. That's the reason I don't have a mate yet I think, because I am mute.

We arrive at the pack house and I immidatly retreat to my room throwing myself onto my bed.

I recive a message from my dad and obey, because he uses his Alpha tone and I have to. He says there is something we have to talk about.

I reluctantly leave the comfort of my orange room and head down to the game room were everyone is already waiting.

I sit myself between Reese and Nick, patiently waiting for the big news.

Alark stands in front of the large T.V., his hands clapped behind his back.

"I have called you here today, pack Aldertree, to accept the arrival of our new member, Kody."

I sit up so fast I almost whack my face into Reese's muscular arm.

What did he just say?
