Kylie's Point Of View

Being the new kid and also, the new nerd, isn't easy. Especially, in high school. Your always picked on, and called names. Usually, some people go into depression because of that. Me? Nope. I don't care, what they say. I try to keep positive. Plus, they only call me a nerd because I focus on my education and I read a lot of books. Even on this app called WattPad.

Just saying, I don't know what's so wrong with nerds. And they also make fun of my nerd glasses! I need those to see, and I think those looks pretty cute.

But really, nobody knows how I really am.

I don't have best friends.

Just, me.

It's actually lonely. Even though, I push away the negativity. It sucks to be alone while everyone has a friend. I walked through the halls trying to find the bathroom. I'm all new to this stuff. Holding my books close to my chest, making sure they don't fall as I search for a restroom. Suddenly, I feel someone bump me. "Hey, watch where your going, pimp!" A boy hisses at me. I took my index finger and rose my glasses closer to my nose with it to position my glasses better. "Excuse me? You bumped into me!" I shot back, dropping my books not even caring at the moment. Yea, sometimes I'm a bit shy. But I can be sassy when a girl needs to be sassy. Cause, I certainly didn't do anything.

"Big mouth, for such a little nerd." The boy replied harshly approaching closer to me. I can admit, he was tall which made me feel actually to small to talk. But, that didn't stop me. Everyone stared at us 'arguing' or having a little 'session' causing a scene. Still didn't care. "Yea, and guess what this little nerd can do?" I replied. He looked at me with a puzzled look, not knowing what I would do.

WHAM!

I kicked him in the 'no-no zone.'

Good for him. I picked up my books and walked away from the rude boy. I guess you can say, I was a nerd with style. A educational book-loving freak, with a badass (sometimes) sassy style, with a hint of shyness.

Never got his name, though.
Like I even need it.

Random Boy's Point Of View (The Guy Kylie Just Had A 'Problem' With)

That bitch!

Gosh, she kicks hard for such a little twat. Ugh, I'll get her back for this.

Everyone stared at me, some chuckling and some running up to me.

"Oh poor, Austin!" A girl ran up to me. More and more did as so. Yea, yea, why did I get all of this attention? Cause I was the school's most badass, popular and sexiest boy in our James Madison High School.

That nerd, really hit me hard.

She didn't know, but I glanced at her book as she dropped it before but kept listening to what she had to say. I believe her name was, Kylie-? Yea, that was it.

I've never been treated like that ever from a girl. Not even a nerd. I don't like this Kylie girl, what's so ever. I hate her.

Normal Point Of View

(Narrator)
School was at the reach, of dismissal.
All kids went home, when parents had picked them up. Others walked. Others took the bus. And some, stayed in the school for studying for a test. Kylie, was walking to the library and a certain someone was following her.

Kylie was walking to the library, trying to study for the test, instead of studying with others inside the school. She felt the need to turn around to look who is behind her, because she felt like someone was following her. But fear, took over her and she didn't want to look back. She ran as fast as she can avoiding the people staring at her, giving her a weird look questioning why she is running.

Finally reaching to the Library, she walks inside and sits on a table she usually sits at. It's always alone with nobody because it's usually reserved for her own study time. Her mom's friend work there and they did this for her.

"Something about that guy, I met today is really making me feel weird." Kylie mumbles to herself.

"How so, Kylie?" Austin, the boy that messed with Kylie in the hall popped up asking. Kylie screamed but quickly covered her mouth, realizing it was a library.

"Why are you here? Were you the one following me?" Kylie questioned.

Austin shrugged. "Maybe."

"Look, whatever your name is."

"It's Austin." Austin pointed out.

"Whatever-!" Kylie stated. "Just leave me alone, Austin! I'm trying to study. Why are you even here anyway? Hanging out with a nerd like me?"

Austin stayed quiet for a bit. She was right. What was he doing? He thought about it for a while.

"I don't know. Something about you is really ticking me off. Can't tell in a good way or bad. Can't tell if I hate you or not. Do you hate me?" Austin explained smirking at the last sentence.

"Sorry I'm not into bad boys." Kylie rolled her eyes getting up and, reaching for a book.

Austin followed behind her. He grabbed the book she was reaching for and he smiled. "Here you go, shortie."

Kylie mumbled. "Thanks."

Austin sat at the table with her. Kylie couldn't take the silence between them anymore. She couldn't hold her curiosity anymore. "Why are you hanging out with me? Why are you with me? Why aren't you teasing me?" Still confused and unsure why, she yelled out as quietly as she can and asked another similar question from before.

Austin sighed. "It's like my body is telling me no. It's telling me, that there is something special about you."

Kylie lightly blushed.

"So-are we friends?" Kylie asked.

"I guess so." Austin replied smiling. Wrapping one arm around Kylie.

Today was the day, Kylie finally earned a friend. Kylie earned a friend with a boy she hated for thirty minutes.
