Chapter 6 - Babe?

I jumped up before I realized how close Garret was holding on to me, before I could grab him he rolled off the bed.

"Ow what the hell was that for" he said sharply in a sleepy voice "I'm sorry Babe but Selena's gone" I said before I realized with I had just said "did you just call me babe?" He asked me with a confused look " umm I think so" I gave him the same look.

"Selena where are you!?" I yelled from the balcony "I'm right here!" She yelled from the ground. It was then that I seem it, the lone zombie running towards her "Run Selena!" She turned to look and before I knew what was going on she pulled out a crow bar from her book and a gun from the waist of her jean shorts.

She hit the zombie on the side if the head with the crow bar and then shot him while he was down, it just laid there twitching.

"What was that?" I asked as I ran to her, "Please that was nothing, I mean a girl has to learn how to take care of herself right?" She said confidently "right" I said back "now is anyone hungry?" She asked as she pulled out a box of cereal an a good jug of milk, I smiled at her and she smiled back.

"We better get out of here" I said as I seen the sun start getting higher in the sky. We started walking again still not sure where we were going.

We walked a good mile before Garret started walking beside me, he looked at me and said "so you called me babe this morning" "I guess I did, so?" He didn't say anything he just grabbed my hand an held it, I also held his, what's happening?
