Arielle's Questions:

1- Who is your favourite Avenger and why? (besides the obvious "he/she is hot")

okay, still Steve Rogers, passed the whole looks. He's a gentleman. sweet, definitely puts people in front of himself. I just adore that of Steve. He's pretty thoughtful if you think about it. I can't wait to see more of his character in the sequel, to see him adapt into the modern world.

2- You wrote a story centered around Steve Rogers, what made you want to write about him over the other Avengers?

well... after watching the avengers, i was like "mesmerized" by chris. at that time, i didn't watch captain america so i did a few days later. i was completely heartbroken with the tragic love life of steve's and i guess, it inspired me to write a love story focused on him. Besides, he was the only I saw that didn't have a girl by his side. And I guess, i was a bit obsessed so that played a factor too.

3- Tell us about Grace Jones, what made you want to write a character like her?

well, i think... i watched a show or a movie, i don't know how i came up with her being a journalist. I think I've always wanted to have one of my characters be like a journalist. I wanted her to be fearless in a way, but deep inside she's hurt from her previous relationship. But try to make her relatable in some way? Haha (:

4- Are any of your characters based on people you know?

Actually, no. But, one of my best friends read my fan fiction, and told me Carly, Grace's younger sister reminds her of myself. Haha c:

5- "The Only Hope" is not only an Avengers Fan Fiction, but also a story that weaves in tragic loss, love and even some delicate themes like abuse into its plot line, and you do it so well, I'm sure a lot of readers are curious if you've experienced any of it yourself?

No, but I gained lots of influence from Nicholas Sparks' story, "Safe Haven." While I was writing "The Only Hope", I was reading that story and it involved a woman running away from her abusive husband, its kind like what I put into "The Only Hope". While I was reading, I thought of the idea and was like, "wow, this is pretty good stuff. I've always wanted to write about it." I tried my best to make it sound realistic because i never went through these kind of traumatic experiences -- i mean i just read a book about it! I didn't want it so graphic in a way, not like the one I read. I wanted a simple, just a simple boy hits girl kind of relationship. something, my readers would feel comfortable writing and myself as well.

6- What do you want to do career wise?

career wise? not sure, my parents would like me to be a pharmacist, but i'm not too sure. i'd like a job at disneyland, but doubt my parents would approve that.

7- What are your hobbies besides writing/fan girling?

i like to read, and i want to take up photography, but most of time i'm fangirling, and listen to music.

8- What other fandoms are you apart of?

besides avengers? les miserables, and disney. not much, but yeah. c:

9- Which Avengers Phase 2 movie are you most looking forward to?

i got to say, captain america: the winter soldier. i think i'm excited for sharon carter, natasha, and bucky. but, iron man 3, and thor: the dark world comes close.

10- Any tips on writing Avengers fan fiction for fellow writers?

just write because you love to write! i posted my fan fiction here just for fun, and i didn't expect a lot of people to love it! oh, always do your research! you want to make your avenger, believable, like the real thing. c:

11- Want to give any Avengers authors a bit of shameless advertising?

uh, for sure. check out, metallic lights by the lovely arielleblack - if you haven't already! the story of the bird and the spider plus the second book of the nikki wolf chronicles by icallringbearer, the sorceress series by thesecretavenger, and if you're a spiderman fan? chronicle by thekingd0m. ^_^

Oh! And the joy of agony and the lost princess of asgard by _today! all good reads. c:

12- What other projects are you working on at the moment -- Can we expect any more Avengers stories from you?

right now, i'm trying to focus on my original stories, "my own kind of fairytale" is almost finished, and my watty 2013 entry, "bittersweet & strange". avengers fan fiction? hm, i've been getting a lot of requests for a sequel to "the only hope", i'd love to write as grace & steve once again. i hope to add a little bit of "the winter soldier", but that's a project thats's iffy right now. not, for sure but it could happen!

Bonus Question:

Shoot, shag or marry: Steve Rogers, Bruce Banner, Clint Barton.

i'd marry steve rogers, (pains me to say this..) shoot bruce, though... i don't think i'd make it out alive, and shag clint. mwaha, sorry nat.
