West had been informed that downloading The Sims 4 was not optional. Killian had sent him the link, the instructions, and approximately twelve warnings about which buttons he was and wasn't allowed to press. The website itself looked like it had been designed by someone who sold stolen IDs on the weekends.
"Are you sure this is safe?"
"Yes."
"There is literally an ad telling me I've won an iPhone." West switched from the selfie camera to the regular camera so Killian could see.
"Don't click on the ad."
"Obviously... This feels illegal."
"It is."
West had downloaded it anyway. He'd also downloaded whatever mods Killian insisted were "essential" which amounted to several gigabytes of custom hair, clothes, furniture and God knew what else. His computer fan sounded like it was preparing for takeoff. If it died tomorrow, Killian was paying for a new one.
Now West was stretched across his bed in an old T-shirt and sweatpants, his laptop balanced against his stomach. A half-empty bag of chips rested beside his hip and he'd already managed to spill crumbs all over his blanket. He'd deal with that later. Or tomorrow.
Probably tomorrow.
Killian looked equally comfortable on the other side of the call, lying against his pillows in a faded sweatshirt, his hair sticking up in several directions. They were well past the stage of trying to look presentable for each other. Now they were comfortable looking like they walked through a sandstorm and came out unscathed... as unscathed as anyone could look after walking through a sandstorm, that is.
They'd been on the phone for nearly an hour at that point, and Killian had already finished creating himself.
His Sim stood proudly in the middle of a virtual living room, blonde hair, blue eyes and a ridiculously expensive-looking outfit.
West squinted at the screen. "You gave yourself a mansion?"
"Well, yes."
"You don't have a mansion in real life."
"That's why its called "The Sims.""
"...Fair."
"Okay. Now I'm making you."
"Why are you making me?"
"So our sims can woohoo."
West shook his head, laughing to himself. "Whatever that means."
"We've woohoo'd before." Killian smirked. West immediately understood what he was on about.
"God, it was so fun too." He continued with a wistful gaze. "I especially liked the part where you stuck your fingers--"
West's face turned pink, and he immediately covered it with his hand. "Yeah, I think I get the picture. I was there, remember?"
"Is talking about it too taboo for you?" Killian asked, clicking away on his laptop. That's how casual a conversation like this felt to him. West was always so shy about it. But Killian could talk about sex freely... It never bothered him.
"Are you embarrassed? I mean, we've talked about it before. A lot."
"Not embarrassed. I just try not to think about... that night... too much."
"Why?"
West raked a hand through his hair, avoiding Killian's gaze as his eyes wandered aimlessly around the room. He didn't want to think about Killian's hands on his body, of the sweet sounds he made against his ear, Killian's hot breath on his neck... of the way he seemed to melt like putty in his hands. Not when he was so far away and couldn't do anything about it.
