"Nicole!" I turn my head at the sound of my name. A smile spreads across my face as I see my best friend Cassandra running towards me at full speed. "Hey Cassie." I say laughing at how ridiculous she looks.
"You gotta come see the Dolphins! They're right in front of the boat. Come on come on!" She says pulling my arm.
The boat our school rented out was huge! Everyone was having a good time, blasting music and dance around each other.
We reach the end of the boat, and Cassie walks up to the railing leaning over slightly. "See Nikki? There right there." She says pointing out across the water. I step up to the railing and lean over looking at the dolphins jumping out of the water in sink.
"Hey I'm gonna go get something to drink. You want anything?" I shake my head no and lean back over the railing taking in the sunset over the horizon.
All of a sudden the boat starts rocking back and fourth making my feet slipped out from under me and my body fly forward, into the Ice cold water below. I let out a terrified scream, calling for help, even though I knew no one could hear. Then a thought occurred to me.
I might be about to die.
At that thought I started slashing around trying to grab something to stop my fall. All too soon I was in the water, and the waves of ice swallowed me up. I tried my best to stay above the surface but the freezing temperature and lack of oxygen was too much for my body to handle. I started to sink into the everlasting void of dark water.
Then out of nowhere two strong arms wrapped around me and pulled me up to safety. Still in a daisy I looked up at the boy who saved me. I study his face and try to memorize each and every feature. I know he looks familiar, but I was too far gone, not being able to match a name.
He looks over at me worried, with water still dripping from his hair. He slung a dry warm jacket around my arms, stopping me from shivering. I managed to put on a small grateful smile before The world faded off into
Darkness.
