(^^ Cassie's in the picture above :)

You know how sometimes when you wake up and you have no idea what's going on until another 5 minutes later when someone tells you? Yeah, that was me this morning.

The sun was still down, and it was about 6:30. I had gotten up to get a drink of water and was planning on going back to sleep when my phone started ringing.

I picked it and checked the caller ID, hoping it was my dad saying good morning. But instead there was a picture of me and Cassie sticking our tongues out at the camera.

I press the answer button and hold the old little phone up to my ear.

"Hey." I said into the phone, my voice still heavy from sleep.

"Hey, where are you?" Cassie says in a little whisper that was hard to hear.

"I'm in my room. Why are you whispering?"

"I'm in the boarding lounge, and everyone's dead quiet. Its creeping me out."

"What do you mean your in the boarding lounge it's only... 6:45! Omigosh Omigosh. Ok bye Cassie see you there." I don't wait for a reply before I hang up and start loading all of the bags into my car.

I quickly change into the clothes lying on the dresser and grab my sunglasses.

I carefully pick up Emily, making sure not to wake her. I place her in the torn up car seat, in the back of my old truck that's about 40 years old and was extremely cheap. I barley ever use it though. We can't really afford a lot of gas.

5 minutes later I'm on the road breaking just about every speeding law ever made. Thanks to my amazing driving... (Note the sarcasm) we were there in under ten minutes.

I grabbed Em and the luggage, and ran up to the gates showing the people my tickets.

By now Emily was awake and crying for her bear, and trust me juggling 2 big suitcases and a whining 6 year old was not fun.

Finally getting to the boarding room I walk through the doors and look around for Cassie.

Almost immediately she comes out of the crowd. She smiles giving me a knowing look before taking Emily out of my arms, while I find the bear.

After finding the bear and handing it to Emily, she finally stops crying and falls asleep on my shoulder.

"Oh my gosh, Nicole you are so lucky the flight was delayed, or no transfer for you." Cassie says with a smirk. "Aren't you so glad I called you?"

"Oh what ever stop being a smart Alec." I say giving her an annoyed look. I look around at all the people around me. They were all wearing the same expression...Disgust.

Of course I was used to people thinking that Emily was my daughter, instead of my sister, so I just ignored them and focused on getting the luggage on board.

-------------------------------------------

The flight was a very long flight. Sitting in a plane for 15 hours with a whining toddler was not fun at all. When we finally landed I was just about ready to pull out every single strand of my hair.

We got off the plane and I handed Emily to Cassie, while I went to go find all of our luggage.

"Omigosh how is it only 9:30, when we left at 7?" (Bythe way I didn't do the math and just kind of made up numbers so that is definitely not actuate) Cassie asks looking in astonishment down at her phone. I giggle looking at her face.

"Hun, don't you pay attention in world cultures?" She gives me a blank look, and I giggle even more. "Oh right that was a stupid question. There are these things called time zones and the times are different." I tell her slowly as if she was a little girl.

"Oh right I knew that." She says looking deep in thought.

"Ugh, your so weird." I say with a sigh.

"That's why you love me." She says with an exaggerated smile and squinty eyes.

"True, true." I say smiling. "Ok I'm going to go take Em to the restroom, tell me if you find our buddies, its says here that, mine's name is Gage Fina, look for him." She answers with a simple ok and I head over to the restrooms.

After letting Emily use the restroom, and fixing my hair and clothes we both head back to the café, walking with her little hand engulfed in mine.

I spot Cassie in a booth with two other people and walk over.

"Um hi?" I say to the boy and the girl, while I sit next to Cassie.

"Hi! You must be... Umm Nicole right? And that's Emily?" The boy asked looking down at a paper. I nod my head and pull Em into my lap.

"Yeah and I'm guessing you're Gage.." I say stealing a sip of water from Cassie's cup. He nods.

I look over to the girl hugging Gages arm. She smiles and sits up extending a hand towards me. "Hi I'm Riley, it's nice to meet you." I shake her hand smiling.

"Well we should get going," Riley says looking over to Cassie, "You will be staying with me Cassie, and Nicole you're going over to the Gray's house, Gage will take you there. I'll see you guys at school. Bye."

With that she gets up and kisses Gage on the cheek and walks out with Cassie who is motining to her phone while saying "text me."

I look over to Gage who already has my bags and nod telling him I'm ready.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Bye! Thanks Gage see you soon."

Gage's car drives off and I pick up Emily bringing her up to the door of the most beautiful building I have ever seen. My mouth was probably hanging wide open.

I hesitantly raise my hand up and knock. Almost immediately a beautiful woman opens the door and engulfs me in a hug.

I awkwardly stand there with wide eyes for a few seconds until she pulls back, with a huge smile on her face.

"Hi! My name is Kim, your hostess I'm so happy that your here! I've wanted to meet Dave's daughters for years! Come in, come in, right this way." She leads me into the mansion and into a beautiful elegant living room with a HUGE chandelier hanging from the ceiling.

My mouth falls down to the floor as I take in my surroundings.

"Oh we're going to have so much fun! I've always wanted a daughter, now I have two! Oh yeah I want you to meet my sons, BOYS! come down here!" She yells then turns around and beams at me with a huge smile.

"What mom?" I heard a little boy say as he comes into the living room. He  stops when he sees me and Emily.

"Moooom why are there girls in the house?? Girls have cooties!"

I grin in amusement. "I want you to meet Nicole, and Emily. They will be staying with us for a while. Where's your brother?"

"I'm right here mom."

My eyes snap up automatically at the sound of the voice.

My breath hitches in my throat as I stare up at the boy in front of me.

It's him.

The boy who saved my life, the boy I fell in love with. And The boy who moved away.

I didn't even get a chance to say thank you, before he was gone. But here he is.
