Got To Be There

School Shopping: pt 2

We are at the mall going school shopping.

Me: Lets start with the girls first. Kyla, where do you wanna go?

Kyla: hmm....Forever 21!!

Bailey: I knew she would say that. That's her favorite store. Along with Shiek.

Kyla: So? I still wanna go.

Me: Okay. Lead the way, Kyla.

Kyla: I thought you knew every part of this mall.

Me: I do. I just like saying that.

Kyla: oh.

We arrived at Forever 21.

Roxy: Lets go upstairs. That's where all the cool stuff is.

We went upstairs and Kyla immediately started looking. It was like she was bouncing off the walls.

Me: Will you calm down?

Kyla: Sorry. I'm just excited. Oh, that's a cool shirt!!

She ran towards the shirt and got it. The shirt was black and white with a cat that says Paws. And Kyla got some more shirts.

Kyla: Okay. Done.

Me: That's a lot of clothes.

Kyla: It's only 5 shirts and 5 skinny jeans.

Me: You like skinny jeans?

Kyla: Yeah. They're cool.

Me: (chuckles) okay. Come on let's buy them.

Kyla bought her clothes and we walked out of the store. We passed by Claire's and Roxy wanted to go in.

Me: You wanna go?

Roxy: Yeah. I wanna buy all the girls something.

Me: That's nice of you. Go in.

Roxy went in Claire's.

*Roxy's POV*

Me: What will Crystelle like? Hmm. She does need more earrings, though.

I got a pack of small silver hoop earrings. Here's what I got for all of the girls:

Me and Kyla- A Rainbow Dash necklace, Egyptian earrings and bracelet.

Cryselle- small silver hoop earrings, attachable Rainbow Dash hair streak, and a sliver bracelet.

I bought them and went out of the store where the others were waiting.

*Michael's POV*

Me: Did you but what you wanted?

Roxy: Yep. Let's go.

Kyla: What did you buy?

Roxy: You'll see when we get home.

Kyla: Okay.

After we were done shopping, we went home.

The kids sat on the couch and opened the Claire's bag.

Kyla: (holding Egtptain bracelet) Ayyy!! This is nice. I like it.

Looking at these children, makes me think about how lucky I am to have such good kids. While we were out, I signed their adoption papers. They were so happy. They're such good kids.

I chuckled at their amazed faces in they saw what Roxy got them.

Roxy: And I got a little something for Bailey.

Bailey: For me?

Roxy: Yeah. Here.

Bailey opened the box and saw a new watch.

Bailey: Hey! Neat! Thanks, Rox.

Roxy: You're welcome, Little bro.

I smiled and went in the kitchen. I got emotional because I didn't have the same childhood like them.

Voice: Daddy, are you okay?

I looked and saw Kyla in the kitchen doorway.

Me: Yeah.

Kyla: What's wrong?

Me: (sighs) Well, seeing you guys have fun, made me think of my childhood.

Kyla had a sorrowful look on her face. She and her siblings care so much for me.

Me: My father would just make me work all day every day.

Kyla: Didn't have time to play?

I shook my head. And a tear rolled down my face.

Kyla: That's not right. Every kid should play outside. Luscious didn't let us go outside that much.

Me: He didn't?

Kyla shook her head.

Me: That's cruel of him.

Kyla: You know what makes you a great father?

Me: What?

Kyla: That you love and care for all of us. We love you, Daddy. And we know that you'll never let us down.

I smiled and hugged her. She hugged me back.

Me: Kyla, thanks. For everything.

Kyla: You're welcome, Daddy.

We pulled away from the hug and I looked into her dark brown eyes.

Me: God blessed me with four amazing children.

Kyla smiled and I kissed her cheek.

Kyla: Thanks, Daddy.

Me: You're welcome. Tell your siblings to wash their hands for dinner.

Kyla: Okay.

She walked out of the kitchen and told her siblings to wash their hands. I saw all four of them scamper upstairs to wash their hands. They scampered back down and sat at the table.

Me: I made you guys' favorite. Shrimp Alfredo.

Roxy: My favorite!!!

Me: Here you go.

The children: Yaay!!

They got their forks and started eating.

Later, they got ready for bed and went to the movie room.

Kyla: Daddy, can we watch Zombieland?

Me: I don't know if Crystelle can handle it.

Bailey: She's seen it. She wasn't scared. Right, Crys?

Crystelle nodded.

Me: Okay, if you get scared, we'll watch something else. Okay?

Crystelle: Okay.

We sat down and watched Zombieland. Towards the end, Kyla fell asleep with her head on my shoulder.

Me: Get to bed, kids.

The kids went to their room. I picked up Kyla bridal style and she was surprisingly light. I guess it's how skinny she is. I tucked her in bed with her siblings.

Me: Good night, children.

Bailey: Night, dad.

I turned off the lights and went in my room and went to bed.
