August 19, 1993
Taryn sat on her bed examining Bella. She looked normal. Taryn was just about to speak when there was a knock on the door. She stood up and looked to Bella, who was looking at the door.
"I'll get it!"
Taryn walked to the door and opened it, just a little bit. There stood Michael looking at the ground.
"Michael? What are you doing here?"
"I..uh...I just...um... wanted to see if Bella was here?"
Taryn turned to look at Bella who was now looking towards the door with an unreadable expression.
"Yeah she's here... Do you know each other?"
"Kinda."
Taryn opened the door fully and let Michael step inside. Once the door was shut they all remained silent. Taryn saw something out of the corner of her eye. It was Lisa.
~Well this is awkward.~
"Lisa!" Taryn whisper-shouted,"shhhhh."
Taryn could see Michael and Bella staring at each other, almost as if they were talking telepathically.
~Who do you think is going to talk first? The suspense is killing me.~
Taryn was getting a little irritated with Lisa at the moment,
"Will you just be quiet?"
Michael looked over towards Taryn,
"Are you talking to Lisa?"
"Yeah she's being rude...um we will just step out for a couple of minutes. Maybe go to the rec room."
Before either Michael or Bella could speak, Taryn and Lisa were out the door.
"Why were you being like that, there was obviously something going on between them."
~Can't help it, they were kind of boring me. They were also freaking me out a little bit.~
"Whatever."
~You have to admit that Bella is a little weird.~
"We just met her, don't be mean."
~Sorry, I didn't know you were in love already.~
"STOP"
When Taryn said that they had just made it to the rec room and now everyone was staring at her.
"Sorry..."
Taryn went and sat next to one of the nurses, Gary.
"Taryn, why don't you go play a game of chess or something?"
"It's not fun."
"Ohh, so you want fun?"
"Well, I don't know, I want something interesting."
"Alright then, come with me."
Taryn stood up when Gary did.
"Where are we going?"
"It's a surprise."
