Living a lie

He tells me what I must do
Can't look him in the eye
I do what I have to
I'm living a lie

He tells me to stay put
Sometimes with a tie
I do what I have to
I'm living a lie

He beats me with his hands
I'm told to never cry
I do what I have to
I'm living a lie

I'm told to be nasty
I hope the end is nigh
I do what I have to
I'm living a lie

He tells me to do better
And I always try
I do what I have to
I'm living a lie

If I don't do better
I know that I might die
And that if I go back
This might be good bye
He's always persistent
I always wonder why
I do what I have to
I'm living a lie
