i finally asked you today, and it went a bit unexpected. it was after my family had left and i had snuck you back into the house, the bruises on your cheeks were less evident now. the split had started to heal a bit and you almost looked back to normal. i just couldn't shake the feeling though, i was ready to ask but were you ready to answer? it went somewhere along the lines of this:
me: "why would he do that to you?"
you: "you wouldn't wouldn't understand."
i decided to push more, my curiosity had gotten the best of me.
me: "who left you?"
you: "drop it, indie baby."
your head snapped in my direction.
me: "no, you haven't told me anything! the least i deserve is an answer!"
you, anger was evident in your face. i almost didn't press on: "you haven't told me anything about your past either, and i said to drop it."
me: "fine, what do you want to know?"
i needed to know, and i was ready to tell.
