Summer with a stranger

Chapter 1 - summers just started

"Emmmmaaaaaaaaa" who else could it be but Alice. Yeah i get shes my best friend but I've known her for 10 years yet she cant press the bloody doorbell! Whats wrong with the child. I ran down the stairs to open the door. As it flung open there she was standing with a massive grin on her face. What was she up to now? I let her in and we run back up the stairs to my room. We collapsed onto the bed and quickly regained our breath as we couldn't stop laughing at what had just happened. Me being a total cluts had tripped over my own two feet and had fallen up the stairs. "Ouch" i groaned as i rubbed the carpet burn on my knee.

 Alice giggled then begun to talk about what she had rushed here for

"So heres the thing my mums away for the week and i have the house to myself and...."

I know my bestfriend too well. Shes stuttering which obviously means whatever shes about to say could be really good but end up really bad. I raised an eyebrow and told her to continue

"I wanted you to stay with me as its holidays were pretty much together 24/7 anyway."

I smirked as this was the perfect opportunity to get some space as my annoying brother Jason wouldn't stop pestering me. I know mums not here but he's only a year older than me, Im capable of looking after myself i am 18 for christ sake.

"Will it be just me and you" i asked.

The only other person who could be there was Alice's brother Brody and he was okay i suppose.He was in the year above us and was currently 19.

"No you see my brother is staying too and has 2 of his best mates with him"

she didn't seem to happy about that but i didn't mind.

"Sure, ill pack my bag and be round for 5ish yeah?".

She nodded and waved goodbye as she walked back out of the house. Mum was away anyway and Jason wouldn't mind me going Alice's so everything was sorted. I grabbed a few pairs of pyjamas some clothes, my makeup, wash bag ect...I changed into some skinny jeans a white tee and some grey Vans i bought last weekend. My hair was straightened and almost reached my bum, I was almost ready. So I grabbed my iPhone and shouted a 'see ya later' to Jason. Alice only lived a couple roads from me which was great, it was a nice day so i decided to walk. I typed in the passcode for my phone and texted Alice:

'JUST LEFT. B THERE IN 10. Xx' 

 *text message from Alice* 

OKAY SEE YOU THEN. Xx

Ten minutes later i arrive at Alice's front door. A loud 'ding dong' went as i pushed the bell. Brody answered the door and greeted me with the usual 'come in em' so I said hey and stepped into the hallway. I could hear boys laughing from the next room, so i slowly walked towards the living room. Before i could see anything Alice came running down the stairs

" Em what you doing come and put your bags upstairs".

I dragged my stuff upstairs and threw my bag onto her bedroom floor. I looked into her gigantic mirrored wardrobe to fix my long blonde hair that never wanted to stay in place. I brushed down my clothes and run my fingers through my hair. I sat on her bed as she followed behind me.

In a low tone Alice said "Don't get me wrong i know I have a boyfriend but my brothers friend downstairs is HOT".

"Who is he?" I replied

l was curious of why she would be interested in another guy surely Alice is not that type of girl, no shes not. What am i thinking she wouldn't do that she has a boyfriend.

"His name is Chad"

I stopped her with a loud "ALICE! Really?"  

She laughed and started to say

" Don't be daft, i mean for you, he looks like a really nice boy em".

I sighed in relief. I knew she wasn't like that.

"I haven't even seen him yet Alice I don't wanna look desperate".

She rolled her eyes "ugh chill lets just go and talk to them".

Not knowing Brody's friends i felt a little nervous about spending the next week or so with complete strangers. Not to add they were the opposite sex, hot and around our age. Anything could happen right?
