Summer with a stranger

Chapter 2 - movie night

It was around 8pm and the sky was dark. We changed into our onesies we got last weekend. Alice's uncle Pat worked for 'onepiece' so we got the really nice expensive ones with our names personalised for FREE. Obviously i chose pink because it was my favourite colour. Alice had purple.

I was daydreaming at the wall in the hallway examining the family photos until Alice hooked my arm and dragged me down the stairs. I walked in behind her to see three boys sitting on the couch - Brody and his 2 friends. Me and Alice collapsed onto her giant leather armchair big enough for the both of us. Sitting there was the most perfect boy i had ever seen. I couldn't even look him in the eye but damn Alice you were right, he is hot.

Alice narrowed her eyes at Brody "Ugh aren't you gonna introduce your friends to me or what?"

Brody sighed "Fine, this is Logan and this is Chad". "Logan and Chad say hi to Alice and Emma".

He threw a cushion at Logan, he gave us a little wave. As for Chad he just smiled our direction. I melted inside. Alice winked at me when the boys turned around. The name Chad stuck in my head, all i could see was his beautiful blue eyes, dark brown hair, olive skin and the most perfect smile. Logan was hot too but i had my eye on Chad. Alice jumped up and started walking into the kitchen

"Are you coming Em?"

I stood up and walked behind her.

"Emma stop daydreaming" i blinked and turned around towards Alice.

 " Are you dreaming about Chaaad" she giggled.

 I couldn't lie i obviously was but i didn't know what to respond.

 "Kinda.." I shrugged my shoulders and let out a little laugh myself.

 "I knew it Em, you should start a conversation with him some time today".

I was too shy to just introduce myself to a boy that i didn't know, and the fact that he is hot makes it even harder. He wouldn't talk to someone like me anyway would he?

 "Hmm i'll think about it". I mumbled

 Alice smirked and threw me a box of microwave popcorn.

"Just gotta run up stairs put that in for 3mins"

I ripped open the box and pulled out the sachet. I placed it in the microwave and pressed 3minutes. I heard someone come in behind me. Assuming it was Alice i said

"Can we watch a horror film then, or are you too scared" i laughed.

A deep voice replied.

A deep voice?

Alice doesn't have a deep voice

A boy?

Holy crap.

" Im not Alice but i wouldn't mind watching a film" said an unfamiliar voice.

I swivelled round to see it was Chad.

Oh. My. God.

Keep your cool

Don't be stupid Emma

"Brody might chicken out" I chuckled.

As he joined us in the kitchen he said

"Don't try it Emma you're the one who hides behind the cushion for half of the movie".

I grabbed the popcorn and tipped it in a big bowl. I threw a bit at Brody for being cheeky.

"Oi" he smiled but being Brody he just picked it off the counter and threw it in his mouth.

 "Don't worry Emma you can cuddle up to Chad or Logan" he said as he nudged Chad.

 I threw another popcorn at him. Logan then walked in.

" Something smells good wheres the food"

he shoved his hand in the bowl and pulled out a handful of popcorn to then wink at me. He went in for more but i hit his hand.

Logan looked at Brody "Feisty this one huh?"

I couldn't help but burst out laughing. Alice came walking in with a pile of DVD's.

"Im having the living room so unless you want to watch a film with us you'll have to go upstairs".

 Brody wasn't really bothered

" Yeah yeah but we get a say in what were watching because Im tired of stupid chick flicks".

Me and Alice looked at each other laughing. We started walking back to the living room. Again Logan grabbed another handful of popcorn before i had the chance to hit his hand.

 There were two armchairs and one sofa. Brody and Logan jumped onto the armchairs and me and Alice ran to the sofa. That left Chad to have the sofa as his only option. Chad was going to sit next to me. I was freaking out inside. He gave me a cute smile as he collapsed onto the sofa. I gave him dirty look.

OF COURSE I DIDN'T. Chad Parker smiled at me obviously i returned one are you crazy. Alice put on the film and we switched off the lights.

*2 HOURS LATER - THE FILM WAS FINISHED*

"Its Getting late now we should go bed Emma".

I stretched and released a yawn

"immm comingg".

Alice was already half way up the stairs so i stood up and followed.

"Night guys".

They all responded at the same time "night"

aww that was cute.

What is wrong with you Emma. 

 I got to Alice's room and dived into her double bed. The lights went off and i sunk into her comfy pillows. She was out in five. I turned around and faced the wall as my eyelids drooped down. Almost. Asleep.
