"What the hell Calum?" I said quietly while I stood in the doorway of the bathroom; looking down at the person I loved the most wiping his tears away. It had always been impossible for me to yell at him.
"You're not even listening to me! Haven't I told you before that I will never fucking hurt you? I'm telling you I didn't cheat and I'm asking you to listen to what I'm saying." I opened my eyes to look at him again, to see his hand reaching out as if to ask me to sit down and hold his hand. Not being able to resist his chocolate brown eyes, I sat in front of him and held his hand.
He ran his free hand through his curly dark hair. "Baby, Luke is jealous of our relationship, always has been. He wants to take you away from me and I can't let him do that. Please, just- stay. Please. You know what will happen if you leave me, I mean, I'm not trying to ma-" I interrupted him by putting my finger up to his lips.
"Shhhhhh." I smiled at him. "I couldn't leave you if I wanted to. I'm sorry I didn't believe you Calum."
This should have been the part where we would ride off into the sunset on a pretty white horse, Calum and I. Our happy fantasy ending with no more problems that our feelings for each other couldn't fix. It has never been like that for us...
And maybe I shouldn't have been so forgiving.
