White. White all around me. No other colors are present. I hear nothing. I smell nothing. I feel nothing except the ground i'm on. Wait.. there is color over there! Purple, green, blue... It's coming into focus: it's North and Jenkins' unconscious forms lying on the sheer white ground. There is no dark around us, no shadows. It's odd. I look back over to North. He's standing up now, waving me over. I walk over to him...
Kendall walked over to North. "we're alive?"
North nodded. "Yeah. Question is, where are we?"
Jenkins stood. "An institution?"
"No, there would be shadows, at least."
"Wait. What if we're dead?"
Kendall's eyes widened under her helmet. "Dead?"
Jenkins nodded. "Think about it. We're in a place that's all white. We see no shadows. We got shot."
North nodded. "I have a better idea."
"Oh? and what is it?"
North grinned. "Your turn to think about it. We got shot, yes... but by something that erases people from time! My theory is that we are IN time itself!"
Jenkins raised his eyebrow. "Then how do we get out?"
North sighed. "No freaking clue."
Not too far from them, they heard: "Vermont! Duck!"
North looked where it had come from and saw a sight outlined in white: a younger North and Vermont fighting their way through an Insurrection base.
North grinned. "I figured out out way home. It's a theory, but it could work."
Jenkins nodded. "Let's hear it."
"So all the stuff here is white, right?"
"Yeah?"
"And it looks like the scenes are from our memories, right?"
"North, are you saying what I think you're saying?"
"So we hop into those memories, re-live them, then they'll be all colorfull, and we can jump into the one in the present and we'll be home!"
"North, i doubt that what worked in Sonic Generations will work in real life."
"It's a theory!"
Kendall thought it through. "It might work."
Jenkins face-visored. "Whatever. I'm game."
North grinned. "then let's roll. We'll split up, each of us going through our own memories. See you guys later!" North jumped into his memories.
Jenkins nodded. "see ya soon." He too, jumped into his memories.
Kendall sighed, but jumped into hers nonetheless.
Unknown to them, someone was listening to them. "They're here? But they just shot me with the beam! Well, doesn't matter now. What matters is, who do i stop? hm... I'll go after North." The unknown person jumped into North's memories. Whoever this was, one thing was obvious: He was out for blood.
