The trouble (the second book to Adopted by Zalfie)

Chapter 12-Nala-

Zoe's POV
Nala has been really sick lately. We decided to take her to the vet.

Once I got there, I immediately got put with her vet.

"Hello Zoe."

"Hello Dr.Anne."

"So Nala is very sick, I presume?" I nodded my head.

"I will have to keep her here for a few days and have some tests. But don't worry Zoe, she will be ok." I nodded again.

"Nala is 7 years old now. Am i correct?"

I remember when Nala turned 1. Six years ago. It was incredible that I was still doing YouTube. I was 31 and Alfie was 27. It is amazing how time flies. I eventually leave, hearing Nala whimper behind me. Tears slowly rolled down my face. I can't loose my baby. 

 A few days later...

I was on YouTube when i got a call from the vet.

"Hello?"

"Hello Zoe Sugg. It's about Nala." Tears rolled down my face.

"Yes?"

"It's her time. Be here as soon as you can." 

"Ok." I say hanging up.

 I tell Alfie and the girls and we run to the car.

We finally make it to the vets in less than ten minutes. We rush to Nala.

"Hey baby girl. It's your daddy..." Alfie says in tears, slowly petting her. She whimpers, knowing what is to come.

"Nala baby, shhhhhhh. It's ok baby. We love you and we know you love us." I say, remembering the time when we heard that Buzz had passed a year ago. The hard time the family went through.

"Nala, I remember seeing you the first time on a screen. Then you were my dog. But I will always remember you as the dog i saw on YouTube." Annie said crying.

"N-N-Nala, I love you baby girl. I know it was only a few months that I knew you in real life, but I have known you through a screen for five years. I have known you as long I have known Zoe and Alfie. I love you. And don't forget it baby girl."Olivia said, then digging her face into my chest. 

"Is this going to be Marley and Me again dad?" Annie asked Alfie, hugging him tightly.

"I think so Ann. I think so." He said hugging her back. 

I looked at Nala. Her breathing getting slower and slower.

"Bye baby girl. We will miss you." We all said together.  

Her breathing got slower, and then, it stopped. She was gone. My baby girl. Gone. Forever.
