Noah's View

It is fricken 5 am. Why am I up? Any sane person would be asleep. But no. Not me. Mom and Dad think since I got into a couple of fights this year, I need to volunteer. So they chose for me to go to some crap town in Africa to help out with some orphans.

Great. Now I sound like a douche. Man I hate mornings. I check my phone and see a couple of texts from my best friend Jessica. Jessie and I have been friends since the womb. Our mothers are best friends and so they think we will get married. Right. I'm in the friend zone with her. Not that I mind exactly, as I have had an on again-off again relationship with Carly, the hottest girl in school. But now that I graduated, I'm done with her.

You might ask why I am forced to volunteer if I am 18, and I graduated. Well, if I want a free ride to college, I have to. Mom and Dad, well basically Mom, will pay for Drake University as long as I do this volunteer thing. At least it looks good on a college application.

I quickly shower and change into a pair of jeans and a white t-shirt. Brushing my hair with my fingers, I grab my bags and passport and drive to the airport.

Plane rides are usually pretty boring and this one was no different. They had the movie "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" which is decent but not the best. I tried to get a couple of drinks but the attendants didn't believe me when I said I was 21. Smart. Must have seen the puppy dog look before. HA!

The plane descends and we land at the air port in Durban. A city in South Africa close to the ocean. At least it 's on the coast. That means surfing.

Even though I live nowhere near an ocean, I have traveled a lot to have learned the activity. I wouldn't say I am a pro, but I am pretty good. Especially for a country boy. After we depart, I turn my iPhone back on and check my messages. A bunch from Jessie and a couple from Carly. I delete the ones from Carly and open Jessie's.

Jess: bro

Jess: brooo

Jess: dude

Jess: Noah

Jess: Noahhhh

Jess: oh ya ur on a plane

Jess: dont crash

Jess: dont die i need you

Jess: lols jk i dont need u but who else would i whine to

Jess: didnt ur parents get you that international plan

Jess: message meeee

I delete the messages and shoot her a text

Me:  dude wtf ya i have international but fr

I put my phone away and look for the limo taking me and the rest of the group to the orphanage.
How can they get a limo when its a poor orphanage? Finding the guy I walk to him. He holds a clip board and asks for my name, age and location.

"Noah Carter, 19, Nebraska sir!" I say sarcastically.

"Hmm. Get in Mr. Carter. We are just waiting from the Yorkers."

"As in New York? Ha, this should be fun. New York women are hot."

"No. Yorkers as in Britain." he replies smoothly, not missing a beat.

Huh. British women. Sexy. I sit in the car and watch for the British people hoping there chicks. So far there has only been one guy. He seems gay. Not that I have anything against that, I just feel uncomfortable.

"Hello. I am Austin. I am from Turkey, and you?" The gay boy says.

"Ya hi. Noah. From the U.S." I answer shortly.

"You do not want to talk. That is okay." Austin tells me.

I don't answer, letting my silence speak for me. Five minutes pass before we see some attractive girls. Two of them. One is hot. Blonde hair, blue eyes, a short skirt and a tight top. The other though? Oh my. She is beautiful. Her long brown hair in a loose wave, looking messy. Even if she isn't my normal type, she will be mine. Her tight fitting jeans hug her hips well, while her shirt shows off a small belly button ring. Stunning.

I catch the gorgeous girls eyes and am stunned by there bright green color. This volunteer thing will be fun.
