LUKE

My alarm clock blasted in my ears and I groaned, smacking it off and rolling around so my back was facing it. I did not want to get up and go to school today. The first day of school is always the worst. I was still stuck in my summer sleeping routine; go to sleep at three in the morning and wake up at two in the afternoon, so waking up at seven in the morning is not something I want to be doing.

I heard my bedroom door open and my dads voice speak. "Wake up Luke, you don't wanna be late for your first day of senior year, do you?" I groaned in response, hiding my head under my pillow. My dad laughed and pulled my blankets off of me, exposing my only boxer clad body. "Thank God you aren't naked." I heard my dad mumbled before leaving my room. I groaned once more before I actually got myself out of bed. I sleepily walked to my bathroom and brushed my teeth. I turned on the shower and took my boxers off before stepping in it and letting the hot water drip down my body. Once I was clean enough, I turned the shower off and dried my body off with a towel, wrapping it around my waist. When I walked out of my bathroom, Brooke was sitting on my bed looking at something on her phone.

"Jesus Christ, Brooke," I mumbled. "A little warning would be nice."

"Sorry Lukey," Brooke sighed and fell back onto my bed. Her eyes were shut so I quickly dropped my towel and slid a pair of boxers up my legs. I picked up a pair of black jeans and smelled then before deeming them clean enough to wear. Brooke opened her eyes shortly after that and sat back up, facing me. "Are you excited for senior year?"

I shrugged, turning my back to her so I could find myself a shirt. "I guess so," I mumbled, pulling a black t-shirt over my head. I walked back out to my bathroom to fix my hair and put some deodorant on. When I came back in my room, Brooke was putting on of my flannels on over her white t-shirt. The flannel was quite long, so it covered the back of the black jean shorts she was wearing. "Oh yeah, sure, you can wear my flannel."

"Oh shut up," She rolled her eyes and laughed at me. I couldn't lie and say that Brooke didn't look attractive in my clothes, because God damn, she looked amazing in them. I was sliding my Vans on as I watched Brooke stretch her arms over her head, causing her shirt to ride up and expose her belly button piercing. I remember I went with her to get it done when she turned seventeen. That and when she got her nose pierced when she turned sixteen. I picked my backpack up and turned to face her. "Are you ready?" She asked, picking up her own school bag. Hers was not a backpack, it was more a bag that you cross over your body, but she never crossed it over her body, she just let it hang off of her one shoulder.

"Yep," I nodded my head, motioning for us to leave. I quickly said goodbye to my parents, Brooke doing the same, before we left my house and walked to her car. I threw my backpack in the backseat and Brooke put her bag on the floor by my feet. We arrived at our school in a short amount of time due to Brooke's speeding and got out once she was parked in a nearby parking space. I got my backpack out of the backseat and waited for Brooke as she took her time like she always does. We walked side by side to the front of the school and I wished I could be holding her hand right now, but that's Blake's job.

Right before we got to the main entrance, Blake shouted Brooke's name, stopping her from walking any further. I didn't want to stay behind be a third wheel, so I told her I would see her at lunch and made my way inside the school without her. I walked to my locker, which was right next to Calum's since they were in alphabetical order and saw him and Michael standing there. "Hey Luke," They smiled at me.

"Hey guys," I sighed and leaned against my locker.

"What's up with you?" Michael asked.

"I don't know," I shrugged. "I'm just tired and not in the mood to be here right now."
