Chaper 1: Toby's day at the beach

None of them knew I was there. I was silent. I'm watching them with my almond shaped eyes. They get louder giggling like most
adolescent humans. I flap my dark wings in disgust. Soaring away like Midnight I feel my feathers ruffle. I'm going home.

"Anna, Breakfast!" My dad yells from down stairs. I grunt and pull my bedsheets over the bed and run down-stairs. That strange dream again. Hmm, what could it be?

I am running down when suddenly WHAM I am face down on the cold wooden floor.
"Oww..." I whine holding my nose.

"Are you ok Anna?" my baby brother, Toby, asks as he runs to my side. "Yeah, i'm fine Toby." I pick him up
and swing him around in a circle, not caring about my nose. "Wee!" He cheered.

He is so sweet, only seven years old yet so mature. Other kids his age are obsessed over things like Tomas The Train but Toby is an avid Animal Planet watcher.

"Follow me!" Said Toby. I follow obligingly, him pulling my hand leading me into the bathroom.
He drags the little elephant stool up to the sink then climbs onto it while opening the mirror, picking up a lion bandaid box.

As he places a bandaid on the top of my nose I smile. He says, "There! Feel better?" "Yes, thanks Toby." "Let's go eat some breakfast now!" Shouted Toby as he scampers down the stairs. I run down after him.

"Hello sleepy." my younger sister said "Hey Yui." I say grabbing some cereal and pouring some milk. "How are you doing?" I ask but Yui has already resumed reading her book, 'All About Turtles'. I eat my Frosted Flakes in silence listening to my dad talk about the 'Hick War' in Kentucky.

"I'm going out dad!" I yell "WHAT DID YOU SAY?" My dad yelled "I'M GOING OUT," I yell louder "AND I'M TAKING TOBY!" "OK BE CAREFULL!" Yelled my dad. I get Toby and buckle him up in his booster seat then start my car.

We went to the sea.

The beach is Toby's favorite place.
He loves everything about the ocean, the fish, the sand, all the dogs and he loved watching the crabs. Mom taught me how and I taught Toby.
I miss her.

Toby is so adorable. He started.running towards the ocean and someone's loose dog ran up to Toby and pulled down his swimming trunks "Ahh!" He squeals as he totters away dropping his toy Jellie (a jellyfish) and putting his hands over his newly-uncovered butt-cheeks. I laugh at the sight. "Come on Toby!" I say as I grab onto Jellie and help toby. We play in the water and swim a bit, over all having a blast.

"I'm home!" I say walking back inside. "Hello," my dad said, "building sand castles on your head Toby?" "Hahaha! Yes!" Toby said wiping the sand off his head onto the carpet. "TOBY! LETS WAIT UNTILL YOU GET IN THE BATH TO DO THAT." I say as I pick him up and hurry to the tub.

"Toby wants a story!" Said Toby
""Once upon a time, THE END." I joke. "Nooo!" Toby wined "Okay, once there was a Raven, wild as the waves, who lives outside of a boy named Toby's window. The Raven wanted to live happy without any harm coming to Toby so the raven was with him all the time always watching
(Alllwayyys watchingggg Mike Wizowski, Alllways watchingg....)
The raven..." I paused, thinking.
"Lived happily ever after the end!" I finished forgetting what I was going to say. "YAYY!" Said Toby. I kissed him on the forehead and plugged in his dolphin night light as he snuggled in with his turtle plushie.
"Good night." I said softly as I closed the door.
