A little peace and quiet. That was all I needed.

But, for me, when there is quiet... There is no peace.

The little voice in my head just keeps pushing away all the chance of happiness I actually have. And now I don't have that chance anymore.

He was gone. Not dead. Not missing. I know where he is.

But I lost him.

This little "friend" in my head made him go away. That's what happens most times.

I know I can fight this voice in my head. I can make it go away. But what's the point of doing that if it always comes back?

Remember when I said I needed silence? Well I didn't get that either. That's what happens when you live with five different people in one house.

Well... Four different people, now.

But you must be lost. I'll tell you the story of how my life turned into a bigger hellhole than what is already was.

-------------------

I laid on the floor on my room wondering what I could do today.

It was cold, raining. It was actually quite a perfect day.

I went to my speakers and turned the music loud. Loud music helps me. It prevents me from overthinking things.

I, again, lay on the floor. Thats a weird thing I like to do. I really enjoys just, laying on the floor and being able to look at the things above me. A new perspective, you might say.

I look around my room trying to find something that may entertain me.

Oh sorry. I'm Jenna. I'm sorry I didn't introduce myself earlier, I had forgotten.

Anyway, I am the perfect example of "misfit". I was the get kid that "was too into music" and "the kid who never talked". At least I was able to graduate from high school last year, and move to a small house with my best friend Alaska.

Well Alaska... She is really similar to me yet... Very different. You'll understand that better later on.

So, I work at this store called HotTopic. It's not much money, but its more than enough to maintain a living.

Going back to the story.

As I was glancing around my room, a box underneath my bed called my attention. It was an old shoe box.

I took the box, and placed it on my lap.

Inside that box I found a various amount of pictures, CDs, letters... All from people who made me, and still make me, smile everyday.

After taking a quick look through the pictures, on in particular caught my eye.

It was a black and white picture.
