Childhood of darkest night
Never ending woes
Colorless world, Devoid of light
And soundless crack of stone
Gnashing teeth of evil beasts
And howls of despair
Snapping jaws and hellish eyes
Fiery disrepair
A realm of dark, outlandish freaks
Nightmares clog the skies
Blocking out the light of day
For our eternal night
Butterflies with gossamer wings
Fragile in their flight
Float on shrieking midnight winds
A sadly haunting sight
Moonless nights and starless skies
Bear witness to the pain
Nameless children stumbling on
Forsaken in their shame
The sweet caress of cooling breath
A fading heartbeat dies
Gather 'round the burial ground
and say final goodbyes
