Chapter 6: Begin Again

Whoo! First heartbreak! I admit it was pretty hard at first but yea I noticed in these past few months......... It's still hard. She is my first love. I really thought she was right for me. No one else can compare to her.

I guess there will always be a girl that you loved very much but cannot be with. And whoever you will ever meet or anything you do, Nothing will make you feel more happy than just to be with her.

A few months has passed from that ungrateful night. I always chicken out when she tries to call me. Our calls would regularly last for like 10-30 minutes but when she calls me now. I just turn off my phone. Well, I learned that you really cant run away from the past. Why? I bumped into her again.

I saw her walking down the street towards my house and I was busy locking my door. I couldn't get the key out so yea...... the Inevitable happened.

"CHRIS! WHY WONT YOU COMMUNICATE WITH ME?" Jasmine shouted.

"I was busy" I replied.

"SUS! Wag ka na mahiya. Let's just forget about........... you know?"

"Yea.Sure" I said.

"Let's give our friendship another try"

Ok. That was really painful for me, meeting her again, but it makes me happy that we are trying again.

I mean as friends.

At night, I received a text.

Saturday. My Place. Movie Night like before :)

so, yea. I gotta prepare. I dont know but deep down, I think may chance pa ako.

Saturday night, I did a complete make-over. I had a haircut, rented a tux and yea maybe a little makeup.

As I approached her doorstep, I kept on thinking on possible scenarios.

Scenario A : We get back together

Scenario B:  There is no scenario B.

I was too fed up on getting back together. I was really confident

As I knocked the door. A guy opened it.

"I guess you're Chris! I've heard alot about you" says the guy.

"Yea. and you are?" I replied.

"I'm Nick, her boyfriend."

WHOO! That was unexpected.

"Hi! Nice to meet you" I said with a smile.

"Baby! Dito na si Chris!" He shouted.

BABY? BABY?! YUN PA TAWAGAN NILA?! WHAT THE?ARE THEY SERIOUS?

She greeted me and pulled me to the side.

"I have to go." I said

"Why?" She replied.

"I just have to. Bye"

I rushed to my car and from there. Umuwi nalang ako agad. Di ko kinaya.

9:00 P.M

*Doorbell rang*

I saw Jasmine crying. I let her in and asked her what happened.

We sat at the table.

"We fought" She said softly.

"Why?" I asked.

"'Cause of you" she replied.

(What happened before I left?)

*Right after I leave at Jasmine's house.

"So That's Chris?" Nick said.

"Yea. Why?" Jasmine replied.

"He is your bestfriend? The one you couldn't forget?" He said with a rising tone.

"ANO NANAMAN PROBLEMA MO?" Jasmine shouted.

"Wala. Medyo selos parin" he replied.

"Jealous? Bakit ka naman magseselos?" she said

"KASI PAST MO SIYA, OKAY? AND YOU GUYS ARE STILL HANGING OUT. THAT'S WEIRD" He complained.

"WHAT IS WRONG WITH THAT? WE GREW UP. WE MOVE ON." She said back.

Jasmine walked out. And she found herself looking for company.

So kanino siya lumapit? Yea, Me.

"Jas naman eh" I said.

"Why?" She replied.

"You're being OA" I explained.

"Ang guy na nagseselos is only scared of losing you. He wants to be the only one in your heart. Can't you just see that?" I added.

She nodded.

"You don't need me now. You need him. You can't fix the problem if you won't face the problem itself." I advised.

"Thanks. Goodbye" She bid farewell.

It hurts that I tried to fix their relationship. I just showed that I moved on but in truth is, I didn't.

So, I did something I wasn't really ready for.

I thought of dating again and looked for other girls to take my mind of her.
