Can I Trust Him?

I was brought back from my thoughts by the knock on the door.
He came with a tray full of food.
He sat on the bed and put the tray in front of me.
There were two cups of hot chocolate milk with dry fruits in it and two pieces of cream cake.
"I know it'd be a shame to call it dinner but... that's all I had". He smiled showing his perfect teeth.
His smile was so charismatic, I simply got lost in it.

"Ahhmm Ahhhm". I was snapped out of my thoughts.
I was so hungry that I ate it up all.
"You're welcome". He said teasingly.
"Oh I'm sorry,I forgot to thank you".I said humbly.
"Well I didn't do this for just a thank you". He frowned
"Then what'd you want?I asked trying not to show the fear in my voice.

Wow! she's such a treasure.She is so cute and innocent.
"Its okay. I didn't mean to frighten you.I was just teasing ya".I looked in her crystal blue gloomy eyes.
"So what were ya doin' in those deserted woods".I asked while looking more deeply in her eyes so I could call her bluff.

"I...I was with my friends..we..umm..we were on a trip". She avoided eye contact.
Poor girl thinks she can fool me,Special Agent Coran Stone! I'm the top best FBI agent!!!
I clenched my fists.Why is she lying to me?
"Okay, love then where are your friends?" I tried to impound my anger.
I don't know why'd I get so angry when someone's hiding something or lying to me.
"Umm...I don't know where are my friends and I don't remember how I got lost in the woods". She lied confidently this time.
Okay, this is getting out of control.She's lying to me.And i can't take this anymore.
But she is looking so innocent with an unknown fear in her eyes I don't want to be hard on her.

"Its okay. I'll help you find your friends".
"Na..no..I don't want to create anymore trouble for you.I'll do it myself". She said nervously.
"No,it won't be a trouble,I'm a cop,remember,told ya that before.For me,finding your friends would be as easy as makin' a sandwich".

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

"Where am I? "
"You're in my cottage.We're in the middle of the woods. Don't worry you're safe here". He replied squeezing my hand,reassuringly.
"Umm...Ok..If you don't mind I am tired.Can we talk tomorrow,please? I said
I laid my head on the pillow,closed my eyes and pretended to be asleep.
"It's okay.Good night,love". He said in a defeated tone.
He carried the tray and went out of the room.
I didn't want him to question me anymore.I think he knows I'm lying to him.I just don't wanna trust him.
But he seems so trustworthy,I don't know I just...Can I trust him???
I mumbled.
I was so tired,I fell asleep.
