Celestial Knights: Runaways

Chapter 1

Nio watches as the Sanctuary went up in flames. The shuttle jerked from the explosions that rocked the sky around it. So much death, so much destruction. The Knights looks like they may have won this battle. The two Florgians are crying about their leader or father. Nio nearly killed Sleer because he wouldn't listen and Fei the pilot is reluctant to go to Earth. This is a very merry band of survivors. Nio hopes that his father is able to get away, but he knows that he won't do that. He's been known to fight until he dies. Never give up! That's the way the Dragovian's live.

"We have to go back to father." The girl Florgian says sadly. She's dark green with black markings all over her skin. Her brother is just the same.

"We can't risk getting captured, Seera," he comforts her, "father wouldn't want that."

"I don't care Feacon!" Seera stands up shouting, "Father needs to live!"

"Someone shut her up!" Fei calls back, "I'm trying to concentrate here!"

The shuttle jerked violently to the left. They must be getting chased by Celestal fighters. Fei is an expert pilot. Where did she learn to fly? She doesn't seem like the type to know how to fly like this. The shuttle jerks again and Nio gets flung to the wall. Nio's head slams into the metal wall and darkness consumes him.

"NIO!" Luna rushes over to him.

She puts him in her lap and rubs his head. He's as limp as a dead person. No! He can't be dead! Luna presses her ear to his chest and hears the faint sound of his heart and slow breathing. She let's out a breath of relief and leans against the wall still holding Nio. Everyone is looking at her like she's crazy. She looks down at Nio who's opened his eyes.

"Mind letting me get up?" Nio asks lighthearted.

"I-uh yeah." Luna stutters and lets Nio up.

He stumbles when he gets up, but he seems alright. The shuttle shakes nonstop through the portal that leads to empty space. 

Small chapter I know, but they get better. Hope you all like it :D
