Hey there🙋🏽
Babe, if there' one important skill we all need to have, it should be the ability the be organized. And I'm not just talking about doing your homework on time, and keeping your room neat... Oh no!🙅🏽 I'm talking about the type of organization that keeps you focused, motivated, inspired and feeling positive about your life.Being organized is one of life's most challenging feats but once it is mastered, you'll be able to breathe again🌳 Trust me when I say that once you have your things where they belong and get into the habit of keeping them there, your life is going to show you so many more beautiful things you haven't been able to see before.
But you girls don't have to tell me twice about how difficult getting into that habit is😸 Trust me when I say; "been there, done that"💁🏽 So I've made you all an amaze list of theee best tips, tricks and hacks on how to be more organized. Starting with your bedroom👏🏾
Because to me... You need to be organized before you take the next step in your life❤️
🙀 Here's my cool af list:
*I swear only because I'm passionate about the art of list making😻Organizing your bedroom
~ To have an organized bedroom, means knowing where everything is at any given time of the day. So, lovelies... Guess what we're doing on your next "free day"? Spring cleaning...yes Spring cleaning.
It's actually pretty appropriate for the time of year this side of the world is in 💁🏽🌳(south of the equator, incase the fact that I live in South Africa slipped your mind).
So girls... It's time to whip out the vacuum cleaner and a big ass bin bag🙀1) clean your room before you start
~ it's so much easier sorting out years worth of clutter in a clean environment
2) first, start with looking at the layout of your room
~ if you want to try something new then move some furniture around and redecorate 💁🏽*try moving the furniture by yourself because when you're done, you'll really feel that sense of pride❤️
3) clean out your wardrobe
~ it's time to take out everything that's in your closet at put it into the 'keep', 'chuck' or 'donate' pile
~ wipe down any rails and surfaces to make sure it's nice and dust-free for your clothes
~ put your clothes back with some sort of system
ie;
Fold and pack
~ denims together
~ sweatpants and leggings together
~ hoodies in one pile
~ shirts in another
& hang all the dresses, easily crumpled shirts, skirts and jackets or coats*remember to keep your closet looking like the shop window for Louis Vuitton. Once you get this mindset, your closet should never be the same again👏🏾
4) organize your desk
~ take everything thing off your desk and out of the drawers (if you have any)
~ wipe down your desk with a damp cloth and wait until it's dried
~ put pens and pencils in a jar
~ place highlighters and markers in a space case
~ if you have a computer, wipe the monitor (with that special cloth we're all meant to be using for our monitors🙈) and place the computer against the wall, with the keyboard and mouse in their usual places
~put paper and notebooks in one drawer; textbooks in another and use the others, if you have more drawers, for miscellaneous items
5) organize your dressing table
~ clean your mirror
~ wipe down your table with a damp cloth
~ put all your brushes in a jar (fill the jar with coffee beans for a sensational aroma)👌🏾
~ place cotton balls and earbuds in another jar
~ put all your creams next to your mirror so you don't lose them (store them with the lid at the bottom)
~ on the other side of your mirror, place your "eu de toilette" and deodorant there so you can spray those two quickly in the morning
6) freshen up your bed
~ take all your covers off... It's time to clean the mattress
To clean the mattress...
You'll need:
1) 26 ounces baking soda
2)Essential oil
3) vacuum cleanerHow to:
1) start by flipping your mattress
*it's good to do this every 6 months or so
2) open the box of baking soda and add your fav essential oil
3) close the box and give it a good shake
4) sprinkle the whole box over your mattress and rub it in for a few minutes
5) let the mattress rest for at least 1 hour though I recommend 2 hours
6) thoroughly vacuum the mattress to ensure all the baking soda is removed🙌🏾
* this is an article on http://www.popsuger.com~ put new sheets and covers on your duvets, mattress and pillows
7) clean your room again, folks
~ sorry... But this must be done
~ vacuum and wipe down walls and other surfaces
~ finish off by adding a few spritzes off your fav "eu de toilette" to the room💁🏽Yay! You did it❤️ Congrats because it wasn't easy🙈
Hope this post taught you how to finally finish a mini spring clean💪🏾 I plan on posting a few more chapters on organizing. They're going to focus on specific things and will be quite insightful... If I do say so myself 😻Until next time, folks😽
xoxo
