After a painfully awkward, on Green's part, car ride Black and Pink had dropped the light color off at his home. Pink had been planning on taking them all out to dinner but Green had insisted that he was too busy and Black insisted that he was much too tired. So, with the bright color pouting the whole way, they returned to their shared home in the Rainbow Sector. Instead of having an all night talking session, like they did so often since they were children, Black practically passed out the moment he was clean and in more comfortable clothing.

The next morning, small hands braided through dark locks, trying and retrying to get a braid that did not have some odd ends of hair sticking out midway through. A loud huff left Black's lips as he let go of the lock of hair, lips forming a pout as he stared at his reflection in the mirror. How irritating.

There was a laugh from behind and his head turned to look at Pink who was snickering at him from the doorway.

"Don't laugh," Black mumbled, crossing his slim arms over his chest. The taller, bright boy rolled his eyes before he moved to stand beside the girlish looking teen. His hands moved to braid intricate styles into his hair, making sure the most visible one showed of the pink ribbon he always had on.

"What? Did you want to pretty yourself up for Blue today?" Pink teased, leaning down to rest his head atop of Black's shoulder, smirking at him through the reflection.

"No way! It's just that it's been a few weeks since I've seen everyone; I wanted to look nice."

"Yeah, so Mr. Tall, Cool and Handsome could come in and be all, 'You look pretty cute today Black. Wanna go on a date?' Or did you want Indigo to bother you more than he usually does?" Pink's voice deepend when he imitated Blue and his eyebrow arched as he asked about Indigo.

Black's cheeks darkened as he began to wriggle against Pink, clearly embarrassed. This caused the brighter color to let out a laugh, turning the boy in his arms so he could press a kiss to both of his cheeks.

"Cutie."

Black was about to protest against the comment when there was a knock on the doorframe. In popped the head of a rather tall woman, a warm smile decorating her face. Her golden locks hung over her shoulder as she leaned in, showing that they most likely hung down to her knees. When she spoke it had a kind, motherly tone to the pair,

"Darlings, your friends are here, I hope you don't mind that I let them in already. Would you like me to whip something up for you all before I head off to the Palette?"

Gold was a very sweet woman who took it upon herself to be a motherly figure to anyone she met, even if it was clear that they wanted no such thing from her. Black shook his head at the offer and the two of them gave her cheek an affectionate kiss as they walked past her.

"No thanks, we got it," Pink chirped, skipping down the stairs with Black in tow. When they reached the bottom step the bright color immediately yanked Black forward so he would stumble into the arms of a particularly tall man.

The smaller teen looked up, cheeks flushed as he looked up at Blue. The six-foot tall man was all muscle, something Black had caught himself admiring on more than one occasion. While he was really intimidating, even without knowing about his criminal background, with his tattoo that crawled up the side of his neck, which was probably a sign of some past gang he had been in, and his mean face; he was pretty nice when he wasn't angry about something.

This was what sort of attracted Black to Blue, the fact that he was so frightening with a sweet spot for some people just caught the boy's eye. The hulking man smiled down at Black as he caught him by the shoulders, keeping him from toppling over.
