Not really sure if this is a trigger for people or not, but if you are triggered easily, please skip until I say it's safe.
Chase runs home from school, not really wanting to return to the horrid place, but not wanting to stay where he was at. He suddenly got that thought again, of how easy and peaceful death would be. All he would have to do is pull his razor out of his backpack and make that vertical line. Stop it, he mentally scolds himself, willing himself to run faster and faster still. You should be safe now guys.
He rounds the corner to his neighborhood, hearing the sounds of footsteps stop and the insults fade into the distance. A girl by the name of Kitie hears his footsteps and wheezing breaths from her porch and knows instantly that it's him. She runs down the street to meet him, and they head off into the forest, along with her lunch box. Linda was watching this whole thing from a distance, and knew she had to separate the 2 if she wanted to show herself to little Chase. She never would've thought of the fact that he might have a little girlfriend, but knew that the girl couldn't stop her. Chase and Kitie sit down next to each other, each thinking about the things they love about the other and the fact that they are too scared to announce those feelings to the other. So they sit there, making meaningless small talk, eating cookies and sandwiches. Kitie had been the one to invite Chase. Chase was worried that it was a date at first, but then came to the assumption that if it was a date, Kitie would've down right told him that. Kitie was over there hoping that he would make the first move and just kiss her already, even if she believed he didn't like her. Linda was watching all of this with amusement. She doesn't believe in love, so this whole thing was just like a pointless soap opera to her. Finally, the 2 went home, just as stuck in the friend zone as they were at the beginning of the maybe-a-date-maybe-not meeting in the forest. As Chase enters his room, he sees a puff of grayish-black smoke and a woman appears. She is in a long, black, fancy dress and has long black, horse like hair. Her eyes have mysterious twinkle in them, that terrifies and intrigues him at the same time. "Hello Chase," She says in a hypnotic, monotone voice, so that he doesn't even have the will to answer or ask how she knows his name. "I'm your fairy godmother," a creepy smile envelopes her face as the twinkle in her eyes seems to spark and crackle, almost like a fire. Then, everything goes black for our little Chase.
