Harvest Moon ( A New Beginning) Our Story

Part 1

It was the first day of spring when a blond haired girl with blue eyes dressed in overalls made her way to the outskirts of a town named Echo Village.

*RACHEL*

A few days earlier my parents offered that for a early Birthday gift that they were giving me the abandoned family farm that has been past down through generations in a town called Echo Village. My parents told me that during their youth they met there and fell in love in that Village. After they dated for two years they moved out to the city and finally married, I was born a year later. When I got older, my parents told me that they use to live in Echo Village but left before they got married for at that time Echo Village was slowly losing its resident.

It has been 18 years since my parents left Echo Village for the city life. When my parent asked if I was fine with the family farm as a present I told them that I would take the farm as a present. I was happy to be able to try the life as a farmer in a dying town, who knows maybe while I'm living there I'll make the town go back to how it once was, a thriving town.

So here I was making my way up the path that lead to the town when I see a man laying on the ground. I went towards him, "hey mister are you okay?" I said. "W..wat...water," he mumbled out, I quickly looked around and notice that there was a river near by, so I got up and walked over to the river and got some water, and gave it to the man. The moment he drank the water it was like he came to life, he jumped up and starting thanking me. "Thank you, if you didn't come along I would have been long gone before anyone found me," he said.

"Umm your welcome," I said. "Oh call me Dunhill, and what do you call yourself miss?" asked Dunhill. "My name's Rachel," I replied.

When I told Dunhill my name his face instantly lit up, "Ah! So your Rachel, your father told me you were coming to Echo Village to take over the farm," said Dunhill.

"Oh you know my father?," I asked. "Ah, yes I've known your father since he was a wee little lad," said Dunhill. Dunhill then started to walk away, "come, let me show you around town and then your ranch," said Dunhill.

Once we walked into the town area of Echo Village we saw some people talking, two of them seemed to be going somewhere.
I then looked at Dunhill and notice that he looked very sad. By what I can tell it seemed that the two people were leaving Echo Village. They walked by me and Dunhill and they said a farewell to Dunhill and carried on their way.

We then walked over to two ladies who Dunhill introduced me to, "Rachel I'll like you to meet Hana," his hand direct toward an older women, "and Emma," he then directed his hand toward a middle aged women. "Nice to meet you both I'm Rachel," I said. "Oh what a sweet girl," said Hana. "It's good to see some young people around here again," said Emma.

"Well she will be taking over the farm over there," said Dunhill while he pointed off to a different area. "She taking over the family farm that her dad passed down to her."
"Oh that's just wonderful!" said Hana. "That mean she will be  needing to grow some crops at some point when that time come Rachel just come to my shop and I'll sell you some seed," she then pointed to her shop so that I know where to go when the time come to get seeds.

We then said our goodbyes to Hana and Emma and Dunhill continue showing me around town. "We use to have a inn," said Dunhill suddenly, "but they just left town to go work in the city. Its hard to get business in a town that doesn't have the need for an inn anymore." I could tell Dunhill was sad to see them go, who knows I might just be able to bring them back once this town is ready again for a inn, I thought with a light smile. Dunhill processed to show me the rest of the town which wasn't much, I got my work cut out for me that's for sure.
