Someone sticks their foot out and I trip over it, my crappy bag splitting open and stuff going everywhere. Great.

I feel something heavy and hard stomp onto my hand. I bite into my lip to help from yelling out in pain. Tears spring to my eyes but I hold them back.

"Stay down little bitch."

A familiar voice. A bit too familiar. I just keep my head down and block out the sound around me. Block everything out and concentrate.

I open my eyes and see everything has slowed down. Time has slowed. There is only a slight movement of the world.

I quickly pick up everything and walk fast. Watching everything around me.
Something hard smacks against my chest and hands hold my shoulders.
I look up and see him. Oh no. Damien.

Wait. Everything has slowed down. How is he still moving. He's looking down at me with wide eyes and a slightly gaping mouth.

I immediately pull back, let time reset, and sprint away from him as fast as I can.
Damien has been labelled as the lead rebel, no one talks to him unless he talks to you, no one hangs out with him unless you are part of his group. You touch him without his permission, you're done for.

I just smacked into him, stood their, looked into his eyes, hit him and ran off without a word. I'm fucked.

Plus he saw me slow everything down, he has to know I'm not normal.
Oh shit. I slowed everything down. And he didn't. Oh shit. Oh shit oh shit.
I run upstairs to the art storage rooms and hide in the furthest corner I can squish into.

I hear the storage door open and someone comes inside.

"Hun, are you in here again? I know what happen."

Hannah. Oh thank you. She's one of the teachers but the thing special about her is that she knows about me. She knows what I am, what I go through. What happens at home and what happens at school.

I only manage to mumble out a yeah. We sit for a good half hour so I can calm down then she starts walking me to my next class, of which I can't help but panic about.
My next class is art, which I love, but most of the popular people are in that class. Including Damien.

Hannah nocks on the door and whispers to the teacher for a second before waving me in. Oh wonderful. Just great. The only spear seat is right up the back, in the corner, next to Damien. His right hand man two seats in front of him.

I curl up my hands and look to Hannah. She smiles and nods, gesturing me to go sit with him.

I'm shitting bricks right now. I can't believe this is happening. I walk up one of the isles between the desks and sit in the blue chair next to Damien. I'm about to faint.

He doesn't move a muscle. I cross my arms over my chest and keep my head down.
"Alright, like I said before, your working with the person next to you in drawing a perfect landscape. Somewhere you would like to go to when you need to calm down. Like the fresh air of a Forrest or the sounds of waves crashing on the beach. Chop chop."

I hold my arms tighter against my body, trying to get them to stop shaking. Damien reaches over to my side of the desk and my eyes go wide, my breath hitches and I don't look away from his hand. Preparing myself for something, anything, that will hurt me in any way.

Throughout the day, I see Damien's group everywhere. I turn around and see one glancing my way. Recess they'd be following me, during class, at least one would be watching for me.

Right now I'm walking home, a bit faster than usual because when I don't have work, I have to give mum a full body massage. By the time I get there she's just getting ready.
I go to my room, dump my bag and get myself ready. I grab the creams and things before rushing down to mum. She's already lying down on the platform they brought
Which I had to put together.

Doing my usual routine, I rub mums back from top to bottom in oils and creams. I've definitely learnt not to hurt or do anything wrong with this.

Last time it resulted in... well...
My wings being ripped out. And they haven't grown back.

Someone comes in the room and I can tell its dad by his footsteps.
"Hello honey, how have you been?"

My dad comes up and I move away from mum, putting my hands in front of me this time. Dad runs his hands up mums back and she giggles.

"Out." He barks at me.

I grab the stuff and run out of the room, putting everything away. Looking at the time I see I need to get dinner on the move.

I end up cooking for Kat first since mum and dad haven't come out yet. Soon enough though, they come out and I cook for them. While getting tomorrow's lunch ready I swear I can hear Kat trying to do spells again. And by the sound of it it's a love spell. I wonder who she plans on putting that on.
