Chapter 3

I never thought of putting her aside, for anybody or anything. We were like partners in crime, we do anything together. I sighed when I got a phone call. I answered "hello?" I was hoping for Mira "hey, we should do a double date." It was Ruby "Sure, with whom?" I was hoping it wasn't her friend either "Delirious said he found a girl and suggested we should." I said okay before hanging up, wondering why Delirious would suggest this.

Saturday rolled around; I went to pick up Ruby from her house. She wore a short black dress, that almost showed everything and really high heels that matched. We got there to the fancy restaurant that Delirious selected. We entered the restaurant and saw him and Mira? She looked great in her red tight dress and black heels "What's she doing here?" I asked, looking at Delirious. He knew that I couldn't be around her." She's my date for the night." He said.
"What is she doing here?" I heard Ruby whispered "she's my date, is there a problem?" He asked. Ruby shot me a glare, all I could do is shrug. I could feel the awkward tension fill up around us when we got to the table. I glared at Delirious who was across from me, thinking that he was doing this on purpose. It was quiet at the table, I seen Ruby eyeing Mira, more like glaring at her. The waiter came over to us and took our order for drinks. When she left, Delirious cleared his throat "so." He started trying to get rid of the awkward silence "how was your video you uploaded yesterday Mira?" That was a stupid question" oh, it was great. I had up to seven hundred likes and a lot of comments on the Q&A." She answered. When the waiter came by to place our drinks on the table, she also took our order for food. This wasn't getting anywhere "look, I know what you're trying to do, but it wont work." Ruby snapped at him. I looked over at Mira with an apology look and so did she. Our food finally arrived and everyone was eating, but Mira wasn't eating much. I was getting concerned now "Mira are you alright?" She smiled "yeah, I guess I shouldn't have worn this tight dress, but I'm fine. Thanks for asking." She smiled.

~ Mira pov ~

I heard Ruby scoff "Maybe if you weren't so fat, you might be able to fit it." I just ignored her "What the hell is you're problem. She did nothing to you" Delirious snapped "Why do you have to be like that Ruby?" Luke snapped as well. I didn't care about the insult because I knew it wasn't true "why are you sticking up for her? You're my boyfriend. Instead of being a dumb ass, you should've got rid of her a long time ago." I got up, grabbed my plate of spaghetti dumped the whole plate on top of her as she screamed, trying to get all the noodles, meat, and sauce off her dress and out of her hair "You stupid bitch!" I could hear Delirious trying to stop himself from laughing "don't ever call him that. If anything you should be grateful that he is even with you." I left restaurant and began walking home; I didn't want to be there, I just wanted to go home right now. A car was driving beside me slowly, I saw the window rolled down "Mira wait." It was Delirious "Get in. You're not walking home alone." I opened the door and got into the car "Thanks."
When I got home and changed out of my dress and into something comfortable. I was to upset to sleep, so all I did was watch TV until I couldn't keep my eyes open. The next day, I heard knocking on the door. I groaned, not getting up; whoever that was will go away. Then the door opened "Mira, what are you doing? No wonder you've ignored my calls and text, you were sleeping all day." I heard Delirious's voice. I looked over at the clock that was hanging on the wall; it was four thirty in the afternoon "why were you sleeping on the couch?" He asked. I just shrugged and sat up "I couldn't sleep because I was too upset, so I made myself go to sleep. I watched TV until it was four in the morning." He sat down on the couch. I groaned and laid my head on his lap, I was too tired to do anything. I heard him laugh a little "she did deserve that. Luke told me that she was pissed because the sauce wouldn't come out of her dress." I couldn't help, but smirk a little. She shouldn't have said that to him. Luke wasn't a dumb ass and she definitely doesn't need to treat him that way "lets do a video together and get your mind off things." I nodded and went to take a shower and put decent clothes on before I did anything.
Afterwards, Delirious and I were playing a little Gears of War together and he was right, it did help me a lot. Right after we did the video, I didn't think much of what happened last night.
