Susan's p.o.v
I've been so worried for the past 2 years. Our contest has been drilling holes in my head while school has been hammering nails into my brain. Hex...hex just...I can't explain it. The search scouts have been retrieving bodies and dropping off supplies. Everyday they have updates on the contest, but none on Hex. Either she is alive of they can't find her body. I hope it's the first one.
I laid my pencil on my desk and closed my diary. I sighed and spun my chair round until it slowly came to a stop. I sighed again and started slouching in my chair. I looked up towards the ceiling and started thinking to myself. I never really pray. I used to as a little girl when my mother would pray with me, but since then I haven't. Now is a good a time as any.
"Notch? Well I guess I can call you dad. I know a lot has happened recently and I know you've been watching, but I have a favor to ask of you. I know that you think it's wrong for me to love Hex. She is a woman and also the daughter of your sworn enemy, but she is the one I love so you'll have to deal with it," I spoke as I closed my eyes with my head tilted back and slouching in my chair.
The room started getting bright. Bright enough to where I could see white through my shut eye lids.
"Susan? You have summoned me?" Spoke a gentle voice. I opened my eyes and the room was dark besides a glowing figure in my room. I sat in awe of a tall man with a short black beard. He wore a black fedora that hid his receding hair line. He was husky and had a sweet smile.
"Dad?" I asked softly. He nodded and smiled at me. It made me smile back even though I had some serious questions.
"Dad why did you create the Ender dragon?" I stood from my chair and started approaching him.
"For every good there is an equal and opposite evil. Thus creating Herobrine, but that's not all. With my first greatest creation came Humans. With His came mobs. I needed someone to keep an watchful eye on the humans so I created the Sun and the Moon. He created a place where there is no day or night. He created a place called the End. And with it its ruler...the Enderdragon," he said.
"It's Herobrine's creation? But that makes no sense," I spoke serious this time.
"Child the Enderdragon was created as a monster of great power. It almost brought upon the end of Minecraft, but I came to earth as a mortal to slay the beast. After a long, brutal, and vigorous battle I had won. I met your mother and you were born. You took my mortal form," he patted my shoulder. I'm just like Hex. I stole my dad's powers.
"So the Enderdragon reincarnated?" I asked.
"Somewhat. Herobrine has had a daughter and he wanted to make her stronger than I. She will try to destroy those in her path of gaining great power. The child is so powerful that she was able to harness the Enderdragon's soul which he trapped in her at birth. Susan you will have to fight her and you will fight to the death. Tis fate my sweet and only daughter," his smile warmed the place, but not my heart. I have to fight my girlfriend...to the death?
"Father I can't," I said softly.
"And why not my dear?" His smile changed to a worried frown.
"I have a confession," I shuffled my feet a bit and straightened my shirt. He nodded and looked at me. I looked up at him and took a deep breath and sighed.
"What if I don't want to kill the Enderdragon?"
"Don't want to kill the...Susan it's your fate. When we find his daughter we shall kill her on the spot,"
"Dad I have found her,"
"You have? Then prepare for war!"
"I'm not going to kill her," I was shy saying this.
"Excuse me?"
"I said I'm not killing her,"
"Why not?"
"Because..."
"Because."
"Because I love her," he stood there taken by my words...in a bad way.
"Are you saying you have fallen in love with the devil's daughter? Susan you are my child and I don't allow this,"
"Well too bad dad. I love her and no matter what I won't kill her!"
"She is your enemy not mine. Hex would never hurt me intentionally! She loves me!"
"Her name is Hex?" I covered my mouth. I was caught.
"Please don't hurt her," I beg of him.
"I won't...only to prove that she is evil. This is the last year of your three year trial. Every night we shall check in on her and test her. If she is evil you shall do as I say," he crossed his arms.
"And if she isn't then I get to live my life as an angel that loves a she-demon," I said smirking. I put my hands on my hips and shifted my weight.
"It is still fate for you two to hurt each other. But I will be watching over you," he started disappearing.
"Wait dad!" I yelled. He stopped and looked at me. "Is Hex alright?" I asked. He closed his eyes for a moment and opened them nodding at me and smiling. "Okay...will she come home to me?" I ask.
"I can only reveal so much darling," he laughed and kissed my forehead, "Goodbye Susan," he said.
"Goodbye Dad," I whispered before he disappeared.
I was happy that Hex was okay, but will she come home to me the same? Am I really not that different than Hex? Am I truly destined to murder the one I love or do I have a chance to change fate?
