Sir Gough spots Artorias from a farther way and gives a big smile to his presence.

" Brother!" he yells in joy.

Artorias makes his way to him and clasps him on the shoulder. " Ah I see your sight hasn't faltered" Artorias gestures to the hay target down the range where soldiers are testing their aim with crossbows.

"Not in the least, and from the sounds of it we might need it."

Gough picks up his bow and looks down range while relaxing his grip and slowly exhaling as he shoots, and hits the target spot on a rope holding a pale of water as the water tips and soaks a nearby chicken. They both laugh

"Ah and neither has your humor." they both embrace, and nod.

As Artorias continues his walk around the city just when he hits the gates he stops. Artorias looks out to see a farmer coming from the direction of Oolacile. He quickly grabs a sword from a guard to meet the stranger and cautiously makes his way to him.

" What business do you have here stranger?" The stranger looks at him and throws up a mass of black tar and suddenly turns into a deformed mass. It is a medium height with a pale purple color to its skin. Its arms were very long and it had three barbed claws instead of hands, and the creatures head was replaced by a dark mystical parasite with countless red eyes. The creature moved in twitch like movements and suddenly let out a blood chilling scream, and charged one of the guards where its claws found a weak spot in the guards armor then slowly sunk into his skin. The creature let out a choking sound that was almost like laughing, and Artorias took the sword he grabbed from the guard and sliced the creatures legs from its body and drove the blade home right into the creatures head.

Healers came to collect the boy while Artorias looked around for a familiar face. Suddenly seeing Chandra coming towards him he gave her a look saying to follow him. They went down a prolonged staircase which led from the great palace to a council room. In a few minutes Artorias and Chandra stood before the great doors lit with light. The giant doors creaked and slowly started to open. The two companions entered the great hall, and the captain of the silver Knights Sir Ornstein greeted them with a friendly handshake and a kiss on the hand.
         "We've been waiting" Ornstein said.
"For a good reason too considering what just happened at the gates." Artorias responded.
"I have heard, and this is troubling new with the rumors of Oolacile." Ornstein said. They walked towards the great round table. The king and the entire council were already there. Artorias and Chandra sat and waited for for their king to begin. The king though he was aging still looked powerful and wise.
"We have gathered to discuss the potential threat to our kingdom and nearby lands." The Kings voice boomed. "I have been told that a threat is coming from a nearby kingdom of Oolacile. Therefore we need someone to lead the party of men and investigate the dangers." As the king was saying this Artorias realized that this was his chance to get away from the boredom
of his chambers, and earn more glory for his king. Although the king already knew who to select. His best and most trusted knight will lead the expedition. "Artorias I wish upon thee to stride towards the cursed land and bring the light of our kingdom to it." Said the king.
"It would be an honor my lord!" Answered Artorias, a gratitude clearly heard in his voice. "Although I would truly like to go there by myself" continued the knight.
"The dangers in that land are still unknown to us" replied the king "I want you to have a full escort" he finished.
" As you wish my lord" said Artorias.
