As footsteps sound on the roof of Bard's home, you reach for a kitchen knife. Bain, Tilda, Oín, Kili, and Fili look up at the ceiling. You're part of the Company of Thorin Oakenshield. You ordered to stay behind with Fili and Oin to tend to a very sick Kili, while Thorin and the rest of the Company reclaim the Lonely Mountain. "Bain, where's Sigrid?" You ask quietly. Everyone looks at you and Bain pales. "Sigrid." He breathes worriedly, heading for the door. As if on cue, you hear her scream. She opens up the door and tries to close it as Orcs barge through. They knock Sigrid to the table. You quickly thrust the kitchen knife into an Orc's neck and rip it out. Orcs fall through the ceiling. Tilda and Sigrid scream and crawl beneath the table. Bain, Fili, Oín, and you start fighting the Orcs. An Orc nicks Bain in the shoulder and he cries out. "Bain!" You exclaim, looking at him. He's at the other end of the kitchen, by Kili, surrounded by overturned furniture and dead Orcs.You start to run to him but three Orcs block you. "No!" You exclaim as you see two Orcs headed for Bain. The Orcs in front of you try to stab you and you're brought back to the problem in front of you. You grab a fork and stab it in an Orc's eye. You stab him with the knife and fight the other two Orcs madly. You watch in horror as an Orc by Bain lifts his ax to bring it down on the boy. "Kili!" You scream to him for help. Kili looks at you. He grabs a pike hook off the table beside him and, with as much strength as he can muster, he stands. He cries out from the pain and falls forward. He stabs the Orc that's about to kill Bain, and then turns to kill another one. Kili weakly falls the ground, screaming. Bain sneaks underneath the table as Elves suddenly burst through Bard's house. You finish killing the two Orcs in front of you and then run to Kili. "Kili, Kili." You whisper. Fili helps you carry Kili back to bed as the Elves kill the last of the Orcs. "You killed them all." Bain states in wonder, coming out from beneath the table, clutching his wounded shoulder. "You're wounded." You say, going to his side. You look at the long, thin slash across his shoulder. "You won't need stitches." You assess. "He saved me." Bain breathes, looking at Kili. "Now he needs someone to save him." You whisper, looking to the female Elf. "Please." You beg. "He's dying." You state, tears in your eyes. "You have to save him." Bain says. Tauriel looks at Legolas. "I have to stay. I'm sorry. They need my help." She whispers to her Elven friend. He takes a step back and nods. "I will help you." Tauriel says, turning to you. You smile. "Thank you." You reply.
