A/N: I'm really hoping for a chance to have a happy ending in Life Is Strange, because after all the shit Max has gone through she should at least be compensated for her suffering. I mean, seeing your friend die once is bad enough, but more than that? That really wears down a person and I hope that it works out in Max's favor for the most part and I really don't want Chloe to die, she practically makes this game.
When she returned home that night, she felt heavy, like the world was just pushing down on her shoulders, these sessions were suppose to help, but they did close to nothing and maybe even made things worse. She was already on medication for depression and she was seeing Warren who is both a psychologist and a psychiatrist. He knew more about her problems than anyone in the world other than Max herself. Sure his sessions helped for a while years ago, but out of nowhere she just fell back into this dark abyss of sadness, hatred, guilt, and regret. She had cried for a good twenty minutes in the parking lot to her apartment complex, all the emotions she felt breaking through to the surface after recounting the horrible events that plagued her memories more angrily than the Black Death.
Upon entering her cold as Antarctica apartment she was greeted with the sight of Chloe half asleep, bundled up on the couch with the tv still on. It wasn't even that late, about six o'clock. On her way home she had picked up some fast food for her and her friend to enjoy. They ate, the bluenette was silently worried the whole time after seeing how puffy and red her eyes were, probably from crying. She didn't want to ask though, in slight fear that it would cause an argument or make the brunette angry with her, and the last thing Chloe wanted was for Max to become upset enough that she would leave again. After they had finished the fries and their burgers, they settled down to drink a beer and watch some stupid movie that had come on.
"Max, are you sure you're not cold? I mean it's freezing in here and I know you're wearing sweatpants with a long sleeve shirt, but still. Why not come and cuddle with me like when you'd sleep over at my place." Chloe opened up the blanket she was using and Max just looked at the blue haired girl tiredly.
"Che, I'm not that cold-"
"Well, if not for your sake, then for mine because I am very cold and I have been shivering for the past five minutes. So, get over here and warm me up with your body heat." The punk demanded lightly, but enough for Max to roll her eyes and submit to being cuddled by the blue haired punk who held her close in a firm embrace. They had laid back so that Max was laying on top of Chloe, her head in the crook of the taller girl's neck. "Damn, girl you are hot!" Chloe exclaimed, feeling the intense warm radiate from her friend into her chilled muscles and bones.
"Aw, thanks for noticing. I've been working on my appearance lately." The brunette said in a sarcastic manner.
"Not like that!" The bluenette smacked the smaller girl's arm playfully. "I mean, you're cute with your pixie hair and stuff-not like I like you like that! I mean-well-I'm sure some guys and stuff are all over you and that you probably get hit on a lot where you work and, yeah." Max smiled at the embarrassed tone in her friend's voice.
"Relax Chloe. Yeah, I get hit on by plenty of guys at work, but it's just measly teasing. Everyone there knows I'm gay so it's all joking around."
"You're gay?" The bluenette asked.
"Of course. I thought you could tell."
"Not really, I kinda thought about it, but I didn't think for sure." Chloe mumbled, turning her head to gaze at the television. "Max?"
"Yeah?"
"You said that you work close with the models that you photograph right?"
"Yes, and I'm familiar with a lot of the models I don't photograph, too. Why do you ask?" Max pushed herself up from Chloe's chest, so she could look at her friend's worried face. She seemed scared to say what she wanted.
