A couple days passed with Chloe living comfortably in Max's apartment, they liked that they could see each other so much now after their long separation. Max still had terrible nightmares but was fortunate that she hadn't awoken Chloe in her fits. She had become accustomed to crying on the bathroom floor for a couple hours, then she would return to her room quietly. It was Monday now and Chloe wasn't mentioning anything about paying Frank back tomorrow. The brunette knew that her friend didn't have the money to pay him, and wouldn't attempt to get it. Max had a solution though.
They both decided to go shopping together for groceries. Since Chloe complained that Max had shitty food then the brunette said that the blue haired girl would accompany her to the store. Max walked around on her own for a while, looking at different types of cereal. She passed one that she couldn't help but smile at. That's me and Chloe's favorite cereal. I wonder if she still eats it, because I do. Moving on she looked for some specific ingredients that she knew would make the blue haired punk ecstatic. There was a dish that her friend loved and she was going to make it tonight for dinner. She needed the chicken and she needed some sauce.
She made it to the right aisle and scanned down the products. Her blue eyes spotted the bottle, on the top shelf. Sometimes it was like the universe taunted her shortness. Getting on her tip toes she reached out for the bottle and grunted from her struggle. After a short moment of fruitless effort a hand reached up to grasp the bottle and brought it to your hand. "Need some help with that?" A male voice chuckled humorously. Max turned to the person who helped her and froze. His hair was brunette and slightly spiked up with dark rimmed classes on his nose. He wore suit-like attire with cuffed jeans.
"Oh, hello, Mr. Jefferson." She said semi-politely.
"So, you do remember me." He smiled and she swore that his eyes scanned over her. Ick perv. "Now that you're famous I didn't expect you to remember a photography instructor such as myself."
"How am I famous?"
"I heard you this big photographer's assistant. You certainly went up as an artist."
"Thank you, I'm honored."
"So, Max. I was thinking that maybe you'd like to see some of my shots sometime, or maybe you could show me some of yours. I'd like an honest opinion of my work." Mark asked politely, but there was a nasty tone in his voice that made her feel sick. Before she could refuse, Chloe piped in.
"Of course she would, you're like her idol." The blue haired girl swung an arm over the brunette's shoulders.
"Am I now?" Mark raised his brow at her.
"Sorry, Mr. Jefferson, but I don't show my work to anyone and besides I'm very busy right now. I have to prepare for a big shoot soon and I'm doing my best to get the proper equipment and getting good pictures of Arcadia Bay for my Boss's next magazine release." Max refused, coming up with a detailed response so that it may be believable.
"That's perfectly alright, Max. I'm sure another opportunity will show it's self." Mr. Jefferson said, giving alight nod before waving and excusing himself to the rest of his shopping.
