I Don't Bite, Carter (Chapter 4)

         I got up at 1 and decided to shower. Many thoughts ran through my head about how the day was going to go. When I texted my friends they both said to have fun and text them later about it. My parents were gone for the weekend and my sister was just home. We decided to keep this between the 2 of us. Once I was all dressed, I looked at my self in the mirror. My skinny jeans were fitting fairly well today. My top was a three quarter shirt that had small blue and purple flowers on it. Deciding to wear my converse along with a small, star necklace. After a while of singing up beat songs and dancing, I finished the long process of drying and straightening my hair. When I glanced at the clock, I realized I had about 15 minutes until Danny would be here. When I grabbed my coat, I reached for my phone and noticed I had a text. Danny was 5 minutes away. The butterflies in my stomach started to stir up. They were fluttering like crazy! While walking to the door, I checked my pockets to make sure I had my phone and wallet. Everything was there. Right when I looked out the window, a car pulled up and behind the wheel was Danny. I shouted up the stairs to my sister I was leaving and the door was going to be unlocked.
When I stepped outside I noticed it was only Danny in the car. My heart was pumping like crazy because this was something I'd never do. Danny got out of the car and immeditly gave me a hug. It felt nice due to the fact it was cold outside. He walked me to the passenger seat. I then hopped in, as did he, and he started to drive. The music was low and he and I just had casual conversation. Me, on the other hand, was trying to get my breathing under control. I will admit, his driving was good. He wasn't fast, which is different from my assumption. Soon we arrived to a bigger house. He stepped out and walked to the passenger side door and reached for my hand. I didn't hold his at first; kind of just letting it stay there. When I felt his thumb rub the back of my hand I knew I should grasp it. And with that, I did. When he walked me up the pathway, I took in my surroundings and noticed a small garden. It was well kept and cute; smiling to myself about the little knick knacks placed it various spots. We entered the front door and he said "Well here's my home." and moved his arm in front of him to add for emphisis. I looked about, smiled, and said "It's cute" to which he then laughed. He walked me down to the basement. There was a huge TV and various amount of furniture between beanbags to couches and chairs. He let go of my hand and walked over to a stand of DVD's. After about a minute of looking through his options, he must have found the one on his mind because he let out a little sigh of accomplishment and popped it in the player.
Grabbing the clicker and sitting on the couch, he looked at me and laughed "You wanna sit?" Feeling my face get a bit red, I walked over to the empty spot on the couch and sat. I didn't know how close to sit so I sat a few feet away.
Danny pressed play and then turned to me "I don't bite, Carter." When he looked at me, he gave me a half smile and I scooted a bit closer to him because to be honest, I was afraid he just might bite. I swear my heart was going to burst. My nerves were acting up so bad I couldn't sit still. The movie started up and it was Disturbia. This movie scared me to death. My eyes grew wide at the title that flashed across the screen. I jumped slightly when I felt a tickle by my ear and a whisper "If ya get scared, I'll protect ya." I looked at Danny and he wrapped an arm around my shoulder. "I'm not a scary movie fan..." I played with my necklace "...But I'll give it another try again." Then I heard the music start up and the movie started. I slipped off my shoes along with Danny. The first scary part that appeared caused me to place my hands over my eyes and I peeked through my fingers. Danny's hand rubbed my shoulder and I felt him scoot closer. Then he touched my knees. I pulled them away from his touch a bit and looked at him. He gave me a small smile and said "You can put yer legs over my lap so it's easier fer me to hold ya." Blushing at his gesture, I slowly lifted my legs a bit; not really knowing what I was supposed to do. He must have known because he helped me and guided me on what to do. I bent my knees a bit and just sat there. I was kind of uncomfortable; both because I wasn't used to this and the way my back was bent was hurting. Then Danny whispered "You can lean up against me if ya want." His arm that was around my back gently pushed me against him and I adjusted and felt better. Now I was more comfortable. My head rested on his shoulder and i continued to watch the movie.
Another scary part came up and I covered my eyes again. God I felt like a looser. A soft touch was brought to my head and looked up at Danny and he whispered "I got you dont worry." I looked away and continued to watch the screen.
Finally the movie ended. Danny reached across me to the table and turned off the TV. "Sorry if I scared ya Carter." I looked at him and smiled "I should be ok Danny." He smiled back at me and suddenly and subtly, his face was getting closer to mine. My heart was beating so fast and loud I'm surprised he didn't hear it. Was this actually happening? Then his lips connected to mine. I just sat there, frozen; paralyzed. My eyes were wide and noticed his were closed. I felt him pull away and he spoke barely above my lips "First kiss huh?" My face got red and he looked at me and smirked. "Just relax and follow my lead." When I looked at him I replied "I am relaxed." even though I was lying. Then I felt his hand go to where my heart was "Yer hearts goin a mile a minute babe." He lightly pecked my lips. "Wrap yer arms around my neck like how ya hugged me." I brought them around his neck and he said "Good." We both talked just above a whisper. "Now just follow what I do babe." His hands snaked to my lower back and he leaned in and kissed me again. He was soft and gental. He moved a bit and I did my best to follow suite. His tongue skimmed my lower lip. Thank god my years of fan fiction reading payed off. I knew what to do here. I opened up my mouth a bit and his tongue slipped past my lips. He explored my mouth and then swirled his tongue around mine. This caused me to finally close my eyes. Subconciously I brought my hands to his hair. Maybe I did that because a friend told me that when I asked her what I should do when I am kissing someone. I dont know. He pulled me closer and kissed me over and over again. We got as close as can be. His hands would travel up my back, under my shirt. Both of our breathing picked up. Danny's hands soon guided me and he layed me down on the couch; he hovered above me. My heart started to pick up speed again. I wasn't ready for anything else. As if he was reading my mind, Danny spoke up. "Babe-" *kiss* "-I'm not gonna try to bang ya or disrespect ya in any way." He kissed me again. I looked up at him and bit back a smile. He was actually pretty sweet. "Thanks Danny." He smiled at me and moved his hands to my stomach under my shirt and rubbed in circles. Leaning back down to kiss me, I wrapped my arms around his neck. Something about him made me want to keep kissing him. For the rest of the night, Danny kept kissing me; not that I was complaining.
As the sky turned to a darker shade of black, we decided it was time for me to go home; considering his parents would be home soon. When he walked me up to the door, he gave me one last kiss and said "How bout I pick ya up tomorrow at noon? We can hang out all day." I smiled big at him and accepted the offer. Danny kissed my cheek and answered "Cool. See ya then babe." and off he drove. When I walked in the house, my sister gave me permission to go out tomorrow. When she asked me what we did, I told her we just watched movies. I didn't compleatly lie. We did watch a scary movie. Then the rest of the night felt like a movie, pratically too good to be true. Once I got upstairs to my room to change into my PJ's, I went to turn off my phone. Just when I was about to turn it off, a message came through.

I had a lot of fun Carter:) cant wait to see ya tmrw. sleep good babe

I smiled at the message and decided to screenshot it on my phone so I could save it. I sent him back

I turned off my phone and headed off to bed, wanting it to be tomorrow already.
